Just wondering who applied for this scholarship in October?

It states on the website we should find out if we made it past the the first of two rounds sometime between Mid November to January. It also states that a list will be posted on the website sometime in November or December.

shrek2004 - tell us about your friend. Was he incredible or average? A good student or lots of ECs? White? (I only ask because I get the impression that this scholarship focuses on minority and low-income groups, but I’m not sure)…

I applied, but I found the online application to be horrible. I felt like I didn’t get a chance to write down everything I wanted to or to explain my extracurriculars and accomplishments in detail.

phantom: I felt the same way. The spaces for awards were really small…and … i could go on, but oh well. I guess we can just hope for the best. Good luck everyone!

The two students who advanced in the competition were not the ones who usually win all the awards and honors. Neither of them were at the top of the class nor very involved in school activities at all. One of them was very active at church, and I don’t know anything about the other one. So, I have no idea what they’re looking for.
