Cornell Waitlist Class of 2028

Yeah. it might be same time. I feel like they might just call you or email you at any time tho just to let you know if you got off the waitlist.

I don’t think they’re taking many off the waitlist there was no CAS email

I think no one got email at all yet?

Yup

I think we still need to wait till May 2nd. They might send out an email that day for all of the individual colleges within Cornell.

They might and they change every year but based on what we saw last year they aren’t doing the same thing

Yeah, feels like it. Maybe they will just roll out decisions without emails or calls.

Kinda worried nothings been sent out but then again they could just be tryna be different this year idk

Yeah I am lowkey doubting a lot of the stuff from previous years cuz I expected an email or something by now.

My gut feeling is either that they are taking less of the waitlist this year
or FAFSA did really delay things. I am just gonna wait until around mid May now.

My kid is declining, but it does seem they are mixing it up this year from taking less in ED, no likely letters, etc. At admit days they did say to ask for an extension if you needed one due to FAFSA delay, not sure if that is impacting or not. It’s also a mess on campus, so who knows if that impacts at all.

Good luck everyone!

Not sure why there is all the unfounded speculation and frustration over lack of emails, letters, etc. from Cornell. The waitlist does not have a specific decision day. It is to some degree random, and certainly based on school. The first day people can get pulled off the waitlist is tomorrow (5/2) and then can be any other time after this date, or never. My advice is to not think so much about it, or what was/wasn’t done in the past, as the odds are quite low of getting off the waitlist. Just get excited about your other options.

No. Decisions will come whenever they come. It will be on different days and different times for different schools. The only time when all the schools at Cornell release decisions at the same time are for early decision and regular decision. You cannot judge by past years.

Not gonna lie guys I think this years waitlist results might be delayed because of the whole issue with FAFSA
