somoene else called and they said theres still going to be more waitlist acceptances. Also, one of the membres here whos son got in on the second wave said theres more admits in the second waves than the first. not entirely sure tho

I think the only thing you can bank on is getting a TO from the schools that give them to those who donât get off the waitlist

Erm Iâm GDEV too, havenât heard anything yet. Speaking to current students they received it all the way from mid May to the end of summer.
I donât think theyâre sure of anything, I think theyâre just guessing to be honest. Unless they are in the Cornell admissions office, they donât know anything.

Ur right that itâs not confirmed, which is why I said âpretty sure,â and not that I was definitively informed of that. Its just that this year was unlike any other year (ex. no email last friday of april) due to the FAFSA disaster, so I think Cornell extended a lot of offers (for as many seats as it had available in the coâ28) to be safe.
So, like I said, the main big wave is over, and any other acceptances (like a second wave) will be made in a small scale. This is not confirmed tho so take it with a grain of salt!

Hey just out of curiosity, what made you want to apply for Global Development? Iâm not trying to criticize or anything, Iâm just really curious because I didnât know that was a major at CALS. Are you interested in environmental sustainability and stuff because thatâs really cool.

You can email the AO and ask but doubt theyâll give you an exact answer. Apparently all if not most of the colleges are waiting to hear back from the center office and provost if theyâre allow to take additional students. With the AOs themselves being unsure whether or not theyâll be taking off more students, I think the best option is just to wait and share whatever information we have at hand and support each other through the process.

Interestingly, a new upload showed up in my portal when I checked today. A document labeled as âWaitlist Correspondenceâ was posted to the âupload materialsâ list yesterday, even though I didnât upload anything at that time. I havenât heard anything from the admissions office yet. Do yâall know if this means anything? Thanks!
