Cornell Waitlist Class of 2028

4 days ago, another person from the same school also committed to Dyson.

What do you guys think about other waves for CAS? Anyone know anything about people hearing from the summer?

based on past years and based on the email, it seems like it might be possible there will be another wave coming… I think some people have also heard back later like in mid-June but probably no later than July 1 since Cornell’s official statement mentioned that finalized decision will be out no later than July 1. It might be possible to hear back later but the chances by then will be very slim and acceptances then are usually given to intl.

Many kids are just getting around to posting on social media. Did this kid who was admitted into Dyson specifically say something like, ā€œI just got off the waitlistā€¦ā€ If not, I would not assume they were waitlisted to begin with.

Just off the people I know who posted, I don’t think posting on their schools insta matters but I think recent posts on Cornell 28 lines up with when the waves came out for each school, and Dyson isn’t there yet.

Sorry, I’m seeing some mixed information and am confused. Did anyone actually get off of the Dyson waitlist or did someone just have a late commitment post who was admitted during regular decision?

Congradulations! What did the email look like? I feel hopeless af cuz ppl are getting off the CALS waitlist and I haven’t received ANYTHING yet :frowning:

Same bestie :frowning: I guess all we can do now is study for ap tests

I don’t see anything on Cornell 2028. I know a couple people who applied Dyson and they were all rejected so can’t directly comment

Do you mean intl’s normally get accepted in later waves?

lol yess. I just had my Stats test today which was my only one loll

Has anyone seen global development for cals move :skull::skull::skull:

Intl’s can also be accepted now, it’s just that the later acceptances are usually given to them based on past trends

My friend (waitlisted and accepted last year) said that after the first ā€œwaveā€ of CALS admits, there’s usually very few admits in small trickles for the following couple weeks. He was in the small trickle on 5/19 last year, so don’t lose ALL hope yet (Although Idk if we should be hoping at all on a waitlist lmao). Anyways, the TO’s for CALS come out in a big bulk of decisions in Early June (around 6/7-6/9 for CALS looking at past trends). I’m personally hoping for a TO right now because I’ve gotten into some good schools already, but would absolutely love to have CALS as a future option. My friend also mentioned that every passing week, the chances of being ADMITTED off the CALS waitlist seem to get slimmer (because they probably admit majors with more space first). Hope that was helpful!

Does anyone know when CAS usually announces TO’s?

A little weird but if you go to Cornell’s Waitlist thread from last year, there appear to be some rejections for CAS around the time CALS sends out its TO’s. Other than that, I think it’s a little scrambled (different intervals of time for TO’s for CAS), ranging from Late May all the way to two days before deadline for decision (August 1).

Pretty sure CAS has finished its main big wave of acceptances.

Do yall still banking on acceptances after the initial wave rlly want to attend that badly?

How are you so sure? Did you email the AO?
