It might be that you have no issues with your fin aid checklist. I think they sent that email out to everyone on the waitlist who is missing a fin aid document as people from CAS also got it.
I did
CONGRATS!!! if i may ask - are you in fine arts or urban planning, and did they send you an email? big W though and thank you for the info + GOOD WORK!!! jk just saw you were in urs but again fantastic job and i am so happy for you :))
Did anyone here anything back from CALS this morning? Email? Phone Call? Update in Application Status Portal?
Nothing yet, but fingers crossed ![]()
yupppp. I really hope today is the day.
Thank you for contacting our office. The College of Arts & Sciences has taken waitlist action, but currently we have no updates regarding our process or timeline. We will be sure to keep all waitlisted applicants updated throughout the remainder of this month if there are any changes or updates.
I emailed cas and this is what they said
Things move rather slowly. A candidate would get an interest email on Friday, accept the offer by Monday, then official offer on the portal by Thursday. After that, they give you 5 days to decide if you donât need FA. If you need FA, 5 days after FA docs are available.
I wouldnât be surprised if there will be dead weeks between waitlist releases.
Thank you! I am very happy too. My experience is identical to what @i_am_taxed just posted. They emailed me early afternoon on Friday to schedule a call that evening, asked me if I am still interested during that call and then let me know that they are offering it and gave all the details in taxedâs post. The whole process is certainly slow. Nobody should give up hope or feel discouraged at this point! Good luck to everybody.
Itâs possible that if someone decided over the weekend that they donât want to go through, or someone missed the email etc. they will send out the next of those offers soon. Most likely though a good amount of people want to see financial aid so if I had to guess, middle of next week if aid considerations made it impossible or suboptimal for some candidates. This is only for the people whose school or major has people who received this Friday offer though. Within AAP, I think B.Arch and BFA will almost certainly have different timing unless somebody else received an offer. They might just be larger programs.
Everything I just said is speculation though based on info previously mentioned. I donât have any firsthand information on how they are proceeding.
thank you so much for your words of encouragement and for sharing the info - still hoping for the best!!
were there any cals waves last week?
New here - my son is on the waitlist for COE as of Fri they said they havenât yet decided anything about admitting kids from the list. However I saw that several people here who were admitted were requested to correct errors on Fin Aid docs prior to being contacted. Can anyone remember about how long after the correction was processed that they were notified. On Fri our sonâs FAFAS wasnât processed - today it has been so - there is some movementâŠâŠdonât know what it means but Iâm thinking they are beginning to move ahead.
Not that we know of
Did you receive an email from Financial Aid saying youâre Fasfa wasnât processed?
yeah I donât know if there was any movement today either.
My son received an email that said his FAFSA was outstanding on the 17th. I checked his Fin Aid to-do list on Friday and it was described as initializing and we checked FAFSA which said it was processed. Today, FAFSA is no longer on his to-do list so Cornell processed it. I am under the impression that they are preparing to go the wait list at COE because they say they will make an offer within 3-5 days of admitting students. So it looks like they are prepping for that.
How do you check your financial aid to do list? And if you donât mind me asking- how do you know they will start making reactions in 3-5 days?
I agree⊠I guess we will have to wait until Thursday again
