Cornell Waitlist Class of 2028

Anyone know how long from this point it will be until students are taken off the COE waitlist? (Now that June 10th is here?)

By July 1st the latest. Lets see how fast it moves with this round of extra info. due by 5pm today. I imagine it will be by end of week this initial batch will have closure. I’m sure a few spots will open as accepted students choose to go elsewhere till July.

The number of transfer offers can vary each year, so it’s best to check directly with Cornell’s admissions office for the most accurate and up-to-date information.

I still didn’t get anything from Cornell CAS … the June 7th email must’ve been a fluke

This past Friday, my daughter received the CAS email asking whether she’d accept a spot if selected from the waitlist and this morning (Monday), received an official acceptance e-mail! We’re very thrilled and thankful that it worked out for her!

what are you guys writing in the engineering thing? i feel like I already wrote everything in my essays and loci. and is it just supposed to be stating how your interests align or should it be more like an essay with a good flow?

it’s really limited in what you have space to write so I j restated what I said before with minimal changes.

How many CoE do you think are waitlisted?

they said 2000 when I asked a month ago

Wonder what type of candidates they need and if they targeted such with prompt to specific applicants. Even 2000 responses at most which not all will respond wont take more than a couple of days to read through. Should move quickly. Fascinating process.

true, also not all 2000 may have even accepted their waitlist offers so nobody really knows except the office

I received my acceptance letter today by email, and everything looks legit but it says my portal will update three days from now on Thursday. This is normal right?

Also, the top part of my admissions portal where it says ā€œwe are particularly interested in new honors, gradesā€ etc etc has disappeared. Has this happened to anyone else for CAS?

For those who didn’t get accepted to CAS after Friday’s email, should I be expecting any offer anytime or should I just give up

I would keep on the lookout. Today is the first day they could’ve accepted you if you got the email Friday, so you could easily just get in tomorrow or even the day after. If that doesn’t happen, I would think since you are one of the top candidates, you are well poised to receive a TO at worst.

Historically, has getting an email Tuesday or Wednesday been common?

Just got off the waitlist at CALS and I have to decide by tomorrow at 6pm ET
