is this for cals?
I am on the waitlist for COE, am not sure about CALS
someone on a2c discord called the ao office and they said final CALS wave is next friday, nothing this week
It was for CAS, not CALS
oh my bad !
so are there any updates about the cals waves?
Did they mention whether or not it would be for those who already received emails, or would this be a new set of emails? (for CAS)
Any calls from COE?
If offers went out last Thursday they have 5 business days to respond. So if there are any more spaces I think tomorrow would be when people are contacted.
Final set of emails goes out tmrw
Is this confirmed by COE AO?
I believe they had 24 hours to ask for an offer and then 5 business days to accept.
Either way it’s not happening today. And looking at the calendar it seems very unlikely they can give any future offers to folks and allow them 5 business days to accept before July 1.
A post this week mentioned that emails go today per their conversation with COE AO. Keeping fingers crossed
For COE?
Where’d you see this? I thought the original comment I replied to said that the AO said nothing this week
I’m assuming you were referring to CAS, right?
No COE. See comments of user Hazelnut3
so no more coe admits for this admissions cycle?
I’ve been reluctant to share correspondence that I received from the Director of Admissions for COE - because it’s rather dim news . But this is an excerpt from his email …
“ Some details that may help formulate context: When we asked students who remained on our waitlist to complete the form about a week ago, just over 1,400 students did exactly that. The university determines how many spots we are able to offer when we go to the waitlist and they allowed me to make twenty offers of admission to the 1,400 students that submitted the form. We made those offers last Thursday and are now waiting for students to respond. For the moment, we do not know how many of those students will enroll. The number of students that do enroll will determine whether or not we do another round of offers. If we meet our enrollment goal via the twenty offers then we will close the wait list and not make any additional offers of admission. However, if a lower than expected number of students enroll, then there’s a reasonable likelihood that we will make another round of offers. Regardless of what happens with the initial offers of admission to the waitlisted students, we must shut our wait list down by June 30th, so the process must conclude over the next two weeks.”
