I think if you got it, and I got it, and some others got it, I donāt want to bring everyoneās mood down but its probably a rejection. Itās a pain to be sitting around for 3-4 months with no answer just to get a rejection. What a waste of my time.

I hope so bro, but honestly I gave up. I canāt have Cornell be like a crush I canāt get over, stringing me along for God knows how long. Iām done with the mixed signals and sliver of hope I get from reading this thread; I feel too desperate. Iām moving on.

ah yeah that makes sense. It could also imply a TO I think. Btw did you end up emailing the office expressing your interest in a TO. I did a while back, but at this point it might be a little too late since they are closing the waitlist (given that the application portal is empty)
If everyone got it thinking it implies TO is cope. I donāt think it implies anything

Yep just called the CALS office. Apparently, this is the last week of offers including TO offers before they officially close the waitlist. Iām lowkey done with waiting for Cornell too. It has been 3 months of positivity and hope, but clearly, it hasnāt worked out. If I get a TO, yay but if not, itās whatever. Iāll keep yāall updated on my final decision however

Iām trying to contain my annoyance with the entire process. My kid applied at the end of October and was deferred in mid-December. The wait has been over six months. I just wish that on Ivy Day, all deferred ED applicants got a rejection or acceptanceāno in between. This waitlist has been such a slog.

Kind of the same thing happened with me at Penn. Deferred mid-December and rejected mid-Marchā¦ They really keep your hopes up, but in many cases, itās futile.
