Downton Abbey

I’m so sad it’s over till January 2016!!

Also loved this exchange from early in the episode:

Violet - “You know me. Never complain, never explain”.
Edith - “You usually don’t have much trouble complaining”.

Aaaawwww

I don’t want to wait a year for mrs. Crowley and lady violet

They are the best couple on the show!

Violet laughing out loud!

Oh man, I LOVED this episode!! Definitely teared up when Tom and the Sisters were saying goodbye and remembering Sybil. And especially at Carson and Mrs Hughes’, um, conversation at the end. BEST THING EVER! “You old boobie”!

And another wedding on the way! Go Mrs. Hughes.

This episode did not disappoint. I love that Tom is willing to be so open with his emotions. His willingness allows the rest of the family to be vulnerable. He will be missed. And I love the intimacy of friends between Violet and Isobel.

Really loved this episode too! It’s hard to say what was better - Violet and Mrs. Crowley or Carson and Mrs. Hughes! All the lines were so good.

The only problem is the never ending Greene saga which will probably come back to annoy us again.

We know that Anna calls her husband Mr. Bates. I wonder if Mrs. Hughes will continue to call Mr. Carson Mr. Carson after they are married and he will continue to call her Mrs. Hughes even though she will be Mrs. Carson?

I cried.

Love Hughes and Carson so much. Think I’m going to re-watch Remains of the Day, which the Carson-Hughes plot reminds me of.

Also, all the little montages that have been posted have made me realize that I’ve forgotten a lot of the details of prior seasons, so I think I’ll start over again. Going to skip season 2 though. And will fast forward thru round 1 of Bates-in-prison.

Yes, the Greene plot line got even sillier. I can believe the barkeep remembers Bates. I do not find it believable that al this much time later he can recall the SPECIFIC DATE on which Bates came to his pub.

And I disliked the Rose/Lord Sindeby (sp?) plot line. “Now I know how lucky I am to get you as a daughter in law because you are willing to help me hide the fact I have a mistress and child from my wife and my son, who is, of course, your husband. But your aunt and uncle and cousins know about it too, and they will also keep my secret.” Seriously?!!! I can agree she did a good job covering in the moment thus averting public embarrassment, but keeping this from her husband?

I did like the fact there’s a potential suitor for Edith.

And I loved Maggie Smith tasting the “delicious” soup.

Not reading ahead but loving Thomas scheming for the good!

OMG Sprat pouring out the broth!

Will Andy be the new love interest for Thomas?

Lots of fun last night. Yes, Thomas using his snarky ways for good? I love it.

I’m going to rewatch it this AM to make sure I didn’t miss a single thing.
