Guess the hospital didn’t do a great job if he still has it bandaged after all this time. How does he get his white gloves on over a bandage that big? But Carson still could have hit him.
Daisy is threatened not being #1 for Mr. mason.
Mrs. Hughes is whispering her objections to being maid and cook, and Carson can’t hear. If he has a heart attack, then mrs Hughes returns to the house and barrows becomes the butler.
Mosley becomes the official tour guide.
Daisy passes her 6 exams and leaves!!! Yeah
Mary will do anything to find out the secret about Marigold, other than just look at the girl.
I could go on, but enuf…
Barrow didn’t get shot by enemy fire. He purposely lit a match and stuck his hand up. The enemy wounded him and then he got off the front line.
Gladys
Tradition, and it varies by position. As we know, the housekeeper and the cook are generally addressed as Mrs. X, even if they are not married,

I have already forgotten what Anna was called before she married Bates and became Mrs. Bates. Anyone remember? I’m afraid to go look in case there are any spoilers where I’d look.
Anna was Anna Smith, but she was never called Smith as a lady’s maid. She was just always called Anna.
Since the entire series has been one (rather delightful) contrivance after another, I’d be awfully surprised if it ended in any other way!
Mr. Mason had a crush on Mrs. Patsmore. Why did he want Daisy to stay with him at the cottage? Did he want affection from Daisy?
I think Mr. Mason wants to be a father to his beloved son’s wife. And, he’s been after her for years to live with him so she can learn to take over the farm. He recognizes that she has no family and thinks they could care for each other. He may also be thinking, not selfishly but prudently, about his old age and having family (Daisy) around to help him.
I like Mason and think he is one of the most sympathetic characters in the show - I wish I’d had a mentor like him at Daisy’s age!
Seeing Barrow break down made me want to cry. Took me by surprised that I cared.
The first season took place in 1912. The sixth season starts in 1925.

Lots of growing up for the youngest people in those 13 years.
Daisy seems to be in the stage of life where everything is black and white. Right or wrong. She has gained just enough knowledge that she believes her opinions are almost fact. She still needs to experience more of life in order to see the gray areas. Mrs. Patmore will help bring her around.
I am going to believe that Barrow has grown also and is realizing that his younger days of acting out have hurt him. It is so sad that almost no one cares for him and he knows this. He knows there is nothing he can do to change their minds and become part of the downstairs family . Carson has made that perfectly clear. I think this is why he is drawn to the children. They only know him for what he is today. They like him and search him out. Everyone else downstairs seems to have someone to care about and have plans for their future. He believes he stands alone.
He needs to move on to be happy but he can’t see that far ahead. I so hope they write him a promising future.
Looking forward to watching Mrs. Hughes set Carson straight.
I don’t care at all about the upstairs family. Not at all. Not one bit. Apparently they have gotten on my last nerve.
How many more episodes?
^^^ Two, plus the Christmas special (which runs longer).
I’m the opposite, @sax. I’m sick of the downstairs stories, of the police always coming and arresting or threatening someone, really tired of Anna and Bates. I’m not believing that Barrow can get out of trouble so often and think Carson would have sent him away a long time ago, not hired him back after the army, etc. Yes, I get that it is just TV so the same characters keep show in up.
Gonna take more than a few tears to make me feel sorry for Barrows. He’s caused more tears than he ever shed.
Patmore and Mason make a great couple–he grows the food and she cooks it.
Barrows will leave and take the job with the old guy from the other house and Daisy will teach the pig butler to read.
I think it’ll be Mrs Patmore who sets Carson straight on Mrs. Hughes apparent lack of cooking ability. She takes a lot of pride in what she rightly considers learned skill (with art thrown in) but is never given a lot of credit. She’ll give Carson a cook book and tell him to go at if he thinks it is so easy. OR she leaves to set up her B&B and when they get a new cook, it’s a disaster. Mr Carson would realize Mrs. Hughes’ cooking isn’t as bad as it could be.
But about those crisp corners on the bed sheets? I’d be telling him he could crisp his own corners plus a few other things!
“pig butler” Love it.
Only three episodes? Need to do a run down of final predictions next week! How will everything end?
I think there is plenty of time to wrap things up because frankly there isn’t much happening now except a few inner squabbles between characters. Heck the staff is leaving, Abbey is doing tours, Mary and Edith will be fine no matter what even if they do bicker and both have suitors. We could wrap it up now in 30 min. or less.
Am I the only one getting a bad feeling about the car race and Tom?
I have a bad feeling about the car race and Race Driver Cutie.
Edith and her agent beau marry and run the very successful magazine, Mary and Talbot end up engaged or married, Barrow gets a fabulous new head butler gig, Andy learns to read and becomes the pig farm assistant manager, Mrs. Patmore and Mr Mason become a love interest and Daisy is their “daughter” with hints of an attraction with Andy for the future, Molesley and Baxter remain dear friends and he leaves to become a teacher,Carson and Mrs. Hughes smooth out their bumpy, typical newlywed start, the show ends with Anna being hugely pregnant, the adorable cousin (Rose??) comes home for a visit, Mary finds out about Marigold and Edith’s bravery and strength bowl her over into becoming a totally loving and supportive sister, the doctor and Isobel get together finally, Violet’s maid “gets hers” somehow (she’s mean), and everyone lives happily ever after or until the money finally runs out, whichever happens first.
I wish Mrs. Hughes would ask Anna for advice about living in a cottage with only one’s spouse for company. Do you think Mr. Bates is as fussy as Mr. Carson is? :))
