My favorite line was when Anna came back from the doctor and she was late. Mary said exasperated “I thought I was going to have to dress myself”. Lord I just to smack her sometimes.
Yes, that was the greeting…what if Anna had had terrible news from the doctor?
I know lots of you are bugged by Carson expecting things to be perfect in his home with Mrs. Hughes, but to me it makes perfect sense. He has spent his entire life enforcing very high standards as the butler–it’s hardly surprising that he’d think those standards should be followed in his own home.
(I’ve watched the entire season, and I love how it all got wrapped up.)
I was so,pissed at Mary. Anna had to take the bus! Why couldn’t Mary have gone with her, in a car?
I’d like to see Cora’s mother come back over from America one more time. She had more energy and common sense than all the Crawley’s put together.
Mary is the employer. Would your employer take you to the doctor in a car?
Well, if I helped my boss get rid of her dead guy, I hope she’d take me to the doctor in her car. 
This definitely isn’t your typical employer/employee relationship!
Maybe, especially if I had helped to carry my employer’s dead lover out of my employer’s bed. Then again, if my employer had helped my husband and me escape murder convictions, perhaps we’d call it even and I’d go back to taking the bus.
Mary took Anna on the train to London. What’s another little car ride?
Do they even have a car in London? They’re staying at the Aunt’s house. (I love the Aunt). She could have insisted that Anna take a cab and given her some money for it. Anna has a fragile pregnancy and they both were worried that something was wrong!

Violet picked her out before she left and Spratt had instructions to deliver to Robert once they arrived back home. Violet was my hero in this episode. She took Miss Cruikshank to task in no short order.

Violet has her moments … is it just me, or was that statue in the background when Mary was talking on the phone, the one with the woman’s face (and bust) and the Sphinx body, the most hideous thing ever? And did anyone else get the feeling that Edith’s editor may just end up as the second Mrs. Tom Branson? And Edith! So happy for her!

I love the puppy - but my favorite in this episode is the Ms. Hughes/Mrs. Patmore scheme. Carson may finally “get it”.
Totally agree about Tom and the editor. And Edith better spill the beans about Marigold ASAP.
We’ve been shipping Molesley and Baxter, so it’s too bad Baxter was at the races when Molesley got the job offer from the the schoolmaster.
