ED colleges

yep… ED to Lafayette… EA to Wooster and U CHichago

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh…

I applied to colorado college. Have no shot though. The list nonetheless:

Predicted ED applicants:
Washington and Lee University: Chameli
Wellesley College:Chameli
Dickinson College:EyeAmMe
Connecticut College:callMAappple
Lafayette College:uspawan
University of Pennsylvania:User95
Colorado college: eehlauna

is the thread dead already?

Not quite eehlauna, not quite. I guess there will be a surge of posts after the ED decisions come out on mid December.

^agrees with EyeAmMe. and many people didn’t even apply ED so i guess there are less posts in the thread! its amazing though there are no clashes in the ED thread yet.

@EyeAmMe: yeah! but it would be nice to know who is applying where! Support with you though… Mid-december is going to be exciting…

True, but only quite a few of us have posted out ED college.
A friend of mine apparently told another friend of mine that there are around 20+ students applying ED to Lafayette !! >.<

Best of luck, guys! I didn’t know about this thread. Ahh, I am applying to Lafayette as well.( RD though)
:)

^might as well add about 10 people applying ED to Trinity College too, they may not be listed but they are always there (and i know about three of them) :|

^Yeah, Trinity,Lafayette and JUB are the all time favorites for Nepalese!! I know two of friends applying ED to Trinity as well!

but people don’t usually ED JUB. i’m surprised that there are so few of us in CC this year. the last years’ threads were flooded by people applying to trinity and lafayette!!!

I meant JUB for regular as well. There are very few people active in CC this year.

what are you stats? financial aid? SAT 1 scores?

Lafayette College!

@eragon1994: for whom is that question meant for? Just the lafayette applicants or everyone?

Isn’t there a single person on Nepalese forum of CC who is not using any of the Early Options (EA, EDI and EDII)?

Looks like I am the only one. I will RD all the colleges. I realize that it may not be the best idea.

@Eragon, although I know my friends’ stats, it wouldn’t be legit for me to speak for them. And trust me, you might just be demoralized. XD
@specific, you can EDII to a college where you want to go the most. But, if your stats are ridiculously superb then you don’t need to worry about RDing. That would give you wide options for colleges and their available aids ; and then you could choose the best.

@EyeAmMe Ridiculously superb? You are right about the first part.
To give you an impression of my application packet (not only stats), I would be more than happy to be accepted by any of the college I am applying to. And my college list isn’t that superb in the first place.

On a more trivial note, ED sounds ridiculous for students like us who want full ride. I mean, what type of commitment is that? You accept me, you give me everything and I will come to you… Kinda mean…

@specific: it is not about getting everything in ED. They will accept you if and only if they think you will succeed in that college. That impression might be the same even if you apply regular. During these courses, they might decline you because they don’t have enough money to support you regardless of whether you are applying ED or RD. ED is a way to show real interest not just financial ones.

Tell me that guys applying ED to Lafayette, JUB, NYUAD, Trinity and Lehigh have an interest in those colleges, I would take that with a grain of salt.

Unless our parents are not some big blood-sucking arms dealer or a pompous diplomat or a high profile politician (whose adjunct belly stands testament to the embezzlement he/she has committed so far), there is no sane job in any third world country that can provide funding to such an expensive (but world class) education.

I believe that we Nepalese students are hell lot better than we end up demonstrating by ED-ing Trinity, Lafayette and JUB (No disrespect intended to these colleges or students accepted and studying there)…
