I looked back through for stats. Can you provide? Like goa. Major. Transfer credits

I was going to do that tomorrow when official acceptance should appear in AIS, but I can go ahead and do now.

Major: Communications BS

Applied 1/1/24 - had all the necessary transcripts sent in December 2023 including transcripts from local community college (Dual Credit and summer courses while in high school), current junior college, and a UTOnramps class taken in high school.

Mid January 2024 - AO had received all documents except current junior college transcript. It was definitely sent. Saw proof that A&M actually downloaded it from junior college Parchment portal, but we had it sent again because they had the hazard sign and red X showing all month of January. Long, annoying story but eventually it showed up as received in AIS. Call them and be persistent if something worries you!!

1/30/24 - Application is Complete and Ready for Review. All documents and tasks showing green check marks.

2/6/24 - Transfer Audit Complete and ready to view in Howdy.

2/26/24 - 7 tabs showing in Howdy around 6:30 AM.

15 hours of Dual Credit completed before graduating from HS in May 2022.
GPA for those hours is 3.0.

48 hours completed at junior college by December 2023.
GPA for those hours is 4.0.

63 TOTAL hours showing as transferable on A&M Transfer Audit.

Combined hours (15 + 48) GPA according to A&M is: 3.76 on the Transfer Audit.

Bringing in LOADS of extracurriculars, leadership (Officer position), summer work and volunteer experience, Phi Theta Kappa (JUCO Honor Society), and a year long internship at junior college Communications Dept. Wrote a unique essay about ‘a day in her life’. Uploaded an additional resume to list even more accolades received, going back to HS.

I will say she was accepted to A&M her first time around but opted to go do a very specialized program at a junior college then finish out her college career at A&M. I don’t think that has anything to do with being accepted (again), but it did help us to know the drill better.

Awesome! What showed on AIS that let you know she was accepted? Did she get an email telling her to check?

Yes, we are thrilled and relieved!! No email received. AIS Log In screen looked completely different. It said "Congratulations! You’ve been Admitted! Welcome to the Aggie Family!’ Then goes straight into click here to Register for NSC or Decline my Offer. Then takes you on to several other screens, NSC registration, payment, parking permit for NSC.

Then back to AIS screen and it’s now a huge check list on what has been taken care of and things left to do before your NSC. Also states there is an online orientation to watch, which won’t be available until May.

The official acceptance letter on TAMU letterhead is in AIS under My Communications, My Letters.

I looked up the All Sports Pass today saw they will be available to purchase or at least request on April 3. That’s a MUST have!

I’ll be all over campus parking permits too when those become available for 2024-2025.

I just received a deferral decision for spring grades. I applied as transfer for mechanical engineering. I have completed 57 hours and am currently taking Diff Eq and Chemistry II of which chemistry is the last required course I need to take to fulfill all the required coursework. I have a 4.0 GPA and currently have A’s in both classes and intend to finish with A’s. Deferred for grades is a good sign right?

First… congrats on that GPA. Well done!!! You should be proud. And yes, they had to defer you since required courses weren’t complete at time of app. But they could have also denied you. Typically deferment will end in acceptance.

Keep the faith and keep those As coming.

And come back after semester and give us the good news!!

A little nervous I’m a political science major. Going into my junior year. 4.0 , all recommended coursework, and sitting at 55 hours. Has any other political science majors heard back? I have received my transfer audit. I was under the impression transfer students hear back after the deadline. I am transferring from Texas Tech so I don’t know if that plays a part.

Is 4.0 the transfer audit GPA? Or your TTU GPA?

My daughter is right there with you. Her transfer GPA from her school to TAMU is a 4.0 at both schools. She is an Animal Science major and still waiting to hear.

I think we have 7 tabs this morning! Is this what it looks like? Trying not to get hopes up until it’s official!
