Forum Relaunch Feedback: Status Update

The font on Microsoft Edge looks fine too me. But on Google Chrome it’s too small. I changed font size on Chrome to large and very large but this does not help. I am using Microsoft Surface and Windows 10.

Guys, just to confirm, if possible, you would like to have the “Latest Posts,” “Activity,” “My Drafts,” … “Most Helpful Posts” section at the top in the Highlights block, correct? In this scenario, the top forums would be displaying after “Most Helpful Posts.”

Personally, I would like “Latest Posts” moved to the top but nothing else in the “Highlights” section moved.

  1. Latest Posts
  2. My Bookmarks
  3. My Drafts
  4. The rest in the same order they are currently listed Personally, I never look at Activity or Most Helpful Posts so I would put those at the bottom.

Latest Posts
Bookmarks
and then I don’t care but definitely latest posts on top please.

Latest posts on top. It’s the way the end user would logically use the forum efficiently. I would assume it’s your most frequently used button press. So logically it should be on top.

I doubt “most helpful posts” is used by many. Keep that at the bottom. Definitely “latest posts” at the top. otherwise, I don’t feel strongly about the remaining order.

I have no bookmarks, so where that places on the list is of no importance to me, but it seems like others would like that right under “Latest Posts.” Otherwise, I’m in agreement that the order of the remaining links is of no importance.

Agree…latest posts at the top. I’d like bookmarks next…but I’ll find them on the list.

The Highlights block consists of two blocks. The top forums and the “Latest Posts,” “Activity,” “My Drafts,” … “Most Helpful Posts” section. If we are to move the “Latest Posts” at the top, we would have to move that entire section. This is yet to be confirmed as a technical option, but I just want to make sure we explain the options.

Agree- latest posts now seems harder to find. Preferred it at the top. And now on my phone I am getting an annoying ad at the bottom that obscures a chunk of what I am
Reading. The “x” to close it doesn’t always work. And yes, I am logged in. Today it is a Home Depot ad. It’s really annoying and keeps popping back after I am finally able to successfully close it.

Please move the Date stamp to the top of each post. I nearly commented on a post that hasn’t been active for almost six months.

The font is still too small and narrow.

Hold it… Maybe my eyes are playing tricks but I did see the time stamp on the top of current threads but now on the bottom of this one… OK just checked. It seems on new threads it is on the top. Just checked one thread on Antonio Brown http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/parent-cafe/2155915-enough-already-on-antonio-brown.html
The time stamp is on top

OK… Take back what I said. The thread I am on the time stamp is on the bottom now so I am confused

@Knowsstuff

The OP to the threads has the date stamp at the top…replies at the bottom.

To be honest, one of the advantages of the “latest posts” being lower down on the list (though still requires some hunting to find it) is that if you first click on the bell , the drop down menu of posts obscures several of the choices on the Highlights list get obscured, but the “latest posts” is still visible!

We are working on moving the time stamp at the top for each post. We’ve already launched an update that did this for original posts and will be releasing an update soon that fixes this for replies as well.

Cool. Thx. Think that will make most happy here. Thx for making the changes.

This probably is the wrong place to ask this question, but is anyone else receiving notifications for a thread you are not following? I receive regular notifications from the Class of 2018, which I am not following and have never followed, but nothing from 2017. Granted, the 2017 page is quiet, but I still should not be notified when someone posts to 2018.

Any word on the possibility of moving the Latest Posts to the top of the highlights list?
