Game of Thrones, season 7

We already know a cure exists because Shireen Baratheon survived it.

I find it interesting that some people are complaining about Ed Sheeren’s cameo. A need to bee cooler than thou? As I said above, I think the scene actually played a part in character development. Before I even realized it was Ed Sheeran, actually.

Okay, now I need to go look up and see who Ed Sheeren is.

^ same @gouf78

Didn’t love that scene though. When the soldier asked Arya if she was legal to drink I turned to my son and asked him if he thought there was a freaking drinking age law in Westeros. Huh?

I didn’t know who he was, I thought the point of the scene was to humanize Arya.

I thought the same thing @OHMomof2 - that was ridiculous!

Nice that Ed Shereen was singing.

It’s never explained how Shireen was cured. Some people seem to think that only children can be cured, but I don’t remember that being explicitly said anywhere. (Not that I remember much from past shows or reading the books years ago!)

I thought the explanation was that people who get grayscale in childhood may survive, though they’re likely to be disfigured, but the disease is fatal in adults.

It was a silly scene. My kids know who Ed Sheeran is. He was just on the radio today, so my son pointed it out. The song he sings in GoT is “Hands of Gold” from one of the books. It’s about Tyrion and Shae. Tyrion has the songwriter killed. So, that part at least fit in with the books.

I could have done with less of the Sam’s chores montage.

I did notice that “old enough to drink” remark and thought What?!?

We should probably all agree that the guy’s name is Ed Sheeran. I know I did it two different ways myself.

Speaking of Tyrion and Sansa being married… Tyrion was married once before, to Tysha. It’s not clear whether she’s still alive. I can’t remember if she was mentioned in the HBO version (he told Bronn about her in the books, and also talked about her with Jaime).

She has been mentioned in the TV series. (Remember Tywin’s famous statement just before Tyrion shot him , hurrah!) If she is still alive, the unconsummated marriage to Sansa would be null and void, I assume, which is interesting. It may also be worth considering that Baelish is the person who controlled prostitution in Kind’s Landing, so he may actually know where she is, and be prepared to produce her to free Sansa of Tyrion when the moment suits him.

A fun quiz and no spoilers:

I had forgotten about Tysha. Thanks for mentioning her! Maybe Tyrion isn’t married to Sansa after all if Tysha is still alive.

I just watched a you tube video of Tyrion telling the story of marrying Tysha. In the end, his father butchered her and fed her to his dogs and Tyrion witnessed it. I highly doubt she is still alive.

I bet Littlefinger will still manage to betray everybody with dire consequences before he’s finally dead.

Or better yet he presents them with a final bill for brothel services…

@VaBluebird , which episode? I don’t remember that.

If HBO killed her off than she’s not coming back. However if he said, “they told met that…” something happened, well, it can miraculously have been a lie all along.
