Game of Thrones, season 7

Oh, come on. They are Targaryens. It’s tradition.

Another major character killed off? Or not?

Besides the armor, that golden hand has got to be heavy!

Loved the training scene between Arya and Brienne.

But Jon wasn’t raised as a Targaryen. He would likely be uncomfortable finding out that she is such a close relative.

Yet I think the show is moving in the direction of a Jon/Daenerys relationship, if only because they haven’t introduced any alternative partners for either of them.

Poor Gilly. She finds all the important stuff, and Sam just ignored her tonight.

^^ I know! How could he not notice what she discovered? Anyone else think Cersei’s lying?

^ Yes, I think Cersei is lying because she knows kids are the way to control Jamie. I don’t know about Cersei, but Lena Headey is 43.

Gilly read “some woman” instead of Lyanna Stark. That was the problem.

The issue with what Gilly read is that Sam has no reason to connect that information with Jon. Bran is the only person to even know that Lyanna had a baby, let alone that the baby is Jon. So no reason for him to think it was significant, even if he knew it was Lyanna. Hopefully he’ll get to Winterfell and talk to Bran and connect the dots. And that Baby Sam (who last had the diary) won’t gum it to tatters.

There’s a theory that Cercei is mistaking menopause for pregnancy.

Loved Davos telling Gendry “I thought you might still be rowing.”

And of course Pat the Dragon - scarier than Pat the Bunny! But a lovely scene.

Wait a minute - menopause? Cersei was supposedly 32 years old at the outset of GoT (or at least that’s what I’ve read on-line). How much time has passed in the last 7 seasons?

I’m one of those that thinks she’s making it all up to keep Jamie in-line. And I don’t trust Qyburn’s slinking around in the background…

The characters in the TV show are older than their counterparts in the books. This had to be done because certain characters in the books were married at ages that would seem appallingly young to the TV audience (and to the authorities in the countries where the show is filmed). I think that book-Dany gets married at 13, for example.

Aging up the characters in Dany’s generation made it necessary to age up the characters in Cersei and Jaime’s generation, too.

Is Cersei in the books 32 or is Cersei in the show 32?

Anyone else think that Bronn must be one hell of a swimmer if he can drag Jamie, who was wearing full body armor, all the way to the other side of the river? He is certainly a man with many talents.

I keep wondering how Tyrion gets back and forth from Dragonstone to various other places in Westeros so quickly. If he’s traveling by Dragon Express, I’d like to see it.

I think they are apparating (Harry Potter style) this season.

I call Cersei’s condition a maybe-baby.

Wonderful to see a range of expressions fly across Jaime’s face when he hears the news. He is getting better and better as an actor.

Maybe-baby, and if it really does exist, maybe-Jaime’s.

And if there really is a baby and it really is Jaime’s child, maybe a monster (like Joffrey) and maybe not (like Myrcella and Tommen).

If Cersai has a maybe-baby I bet Jaime already thinks it is not his and he is outside whatever loop exists.

Fire => Ice.

Also, just how fast can a raven fly from the Wall to Dragonstone?

^I had the same thought!

GOT is getting a bit fear fetched. Especially for those of us who read the books. But it is still very enjoyable and a bit more fun now that it is “out of book.” Not knowing what is going to happen is exciting.
