@memeqween101 I’m DREADING junior year, I’m only taking AP Euro right now and took APHG freshmen year. Meaning the maximum number of AP classes I’ve ever taken at once was one. Junior year I’m doing APUSH, AP Stats, AP Calc, AP Physics, and AP Lang (not to mention honors spanish). Yikes.
@reallypanicked i haven’t taken any aps yet, lol. at my school, it’s very uncommon for underclassmen to take aps, since they don’t want us getting stressed too early. good luck with 5 aps, 3 is already enough for me, lolz
@memeqween101 If you’re deciding between Hnrs Precalc and Hnrs Alg 2, I would suggest taking precalc. I took Hnrs Alg 2 freshmen year and let me tell you, there is little to no algebra. Most of it, if I remember right, is graphing different fcns and items like hyperbolas, circles, and ellipses. Hnrs Precalc is honestly a lot more algebra and you should fly through it if you know basic algebra- also if you like solving puzzles I would suggest precalc. You do a lot of proving trig equations and to be honest it’s actually a lot of fun trying to figure out what works and what doesn’t.
My classes are as follows
AP ENGLISH(
Pre calc
Physics AP
APUSH
Art 1
Track
Endorsement (Medical)
Art 1 and sports in the way so I can’t take another AP );
I think a majority of the IB kids at my school, if not all of them, take 5-8 APs junior year but @HS student what you’re doing is super impressive nonetheless!!! Different schools are set up different ways.
Just contacted the senator’s office in my state to see if they have an internship open for HS students. Wish me luck, lol.
@ab2002 Good luck!
Have a good day!
@ab2002 Good luck!
@phanakin @memeqween101 thanks! I hope to keep it that way (to stay summa cum laude). It took me by surprise when I found out freshman year lol. And that’s so true about schools being set up different ways. Even the two high schools in my school district are set up slightly differently.
@ab2002 You could also join the Young Democrats or the Young Republicans depending on your political leanings. And if you have friends, there is also the National Economics Challenge.
How about the young Turks. Hahaha
@Microsoft_Ninja You watch politics? The Young Turks are trash. They are like the left-wing FOX News!
yeah there pretty trash lol
^^
@Microsoft_Ninja You have any favorite news source?
So what does everyone think about taking Chinese as a language instead of Spanish or French?
I’ve heard it’s incredibly difficult.
Don’t do it. It is really hard unless you are of Chinese descent or use Chinese in daily life frequently.
@hhs123
@Foreboding
Well, its either that or French…
And I don’t want to take French. Im not going to France or Quebec anytime soon
two things
- I don't really watch the news
- what language have you been taking thus far. colleges want the same language for four years
My school has a requirement (for the honors diploma) of
a) 3 years of a language
b) 2 years each of 2 different languages
I wonder why option b is an option. I do know multiple people who take a spoken language for 2 years and ASL for the other 2, though.
Okay well I finally have my schedule settled (thank gosh):
AP Lang and Comp
AP Statistics
AP U.S. History
AP Biology
Honors Precalc
Honors German 4
Chemistry
