High School Class of 2020

Hahaha thank you for that! @Shanban1607 :))

2019 :wink:

@anthonytheboy Oh wow… I’m also planning on doing speech and debate and UNICEF club. While the UNICEF club is gonna be new. I’ve already done speech and debate in middle school. I specialize in PF or Public Forum. What are you planning on doing?

@awesomepolyglot @writer80 @Shanban1607 @loftydreams Thank you, you guys!

@writer80 Wow, what a coincidence! It’s nice to see someone else interested in film on here!

@loftydreams I do not have room to take Speech and Debate in my high school course selections, but I really want to be in the Debate Team. Sorry if this is rude but what does it mean when you ask, “What are you planning on doing”?

Have a good day!

Oh gotcha! Thats cool! I really appreciate you helping us freshman, its really nice of you to come back and help us and give us good advice! =D> :slight_smile: @awesomepolyglot

Yeah!!! Thats super cool you like film too! Won’t it be so cool in four years to see where everyone on this thread is going! I hope your film dream comes true! By the way, you talk some good politics haha @anthonytheboy I don’t know too many politicians with morals that great lol =D>

The clubs I am joining are:

Book Club
Communications Club
Environmental Club

I would rather be active and have leadership in a few clubs than be a mute member in all clubs ;:wink: @bawbdmo

Anyone here take Biology Honors? I heard Quizlet is gonna be like my best friend lol

@anthonytheboy No yeah same thing happened to me. I’m just on the team. And what are you planning on doing basically means which event are you planning on doing. For example, policy or public forum. It wasn’t a rude question at all. No worries!

@writer80

Yeah, I’m really glad that I’m in the 2020 class. It’s the best year non-palindrome year to graduate, in my opinion. Also, to answer your two questions, what I’d really like to do is help the exponential growth in technology. Whenever I think about what I want to do, I think about how 200 years ago, Francis Ronalds created the first telegraph. In 1916, only 8% of homes had telephones. Today, everyone and their mother has a phone. It’s just incredible to think about how we’ve advanced so much in a short amount of time. Science wise, I’m really proud of what we’ve done, and I hope to contribute to this in the future. I aspire to be a humble and hardworking person.

That is beautifully written! I think you’ll go far! Please invent a Time Machine so everyone and their mothers has that… In 2067 hahaha

@bawbdmo

@writer80 What’s your favorite book? Mine is the I am number four series, which I sadly finished today. It’s kind of a love-hate relationship for me with it. I hate the simplicity of it and the fact that the author keeps throwing in random things to make the protaganist win, but I like the concept of it.

@loftydreams What’s policy and public forum? I plan on joining the debate team too, and I’m completely new to the structure of it :frowning:

I have never read that series but have seen it around my local library, is it about aliens? I think I read a brief summary. Here are some of my favorite books:

Harry Potter series

Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children

The Glass Castle

Paper Towns

Etc… Lol

@writer80 Yeah, it’s about aliens. If you read it, don’t expect much though. Also, the glass castle and Miss Peregrine’s home sound really interesting. I’ll try to pick them up from the library later. :slight_smile:

Awesome! Glad I could help you find a book! :slight_smile: Both are series by the way! @bawbdmo

@writer80 hope you enjoy your labor day :slight_smile:

Thank you! You too! :slight_smile: @bawbdmo

@writer80 I am taking Biology Honors.

@loftydreams I plan on after leaving college to become a teacher so that I can help children but start campaigning or signing up for elections for spots or write up a screenplay or book. If I decide to write a screenplay, I may try to direct the film.

@bawbdmo Sorry, I know this isn’t talking to me, but I love talking about books and would like to join in. My top 10 favorite books are, in this order: Wonder, The Fault In Our Stars, Out of My Mind, The Running Dream, the Harry Potter series, A Monster Calls, All of the Bright Places, The Beginning of Everything, Each Kindness, and We Were Here.

Have a great Labor Day!

You all should read the Young Wizards series

Haha, my older cousins have all those, aren’t they from the late 80’s-early 90’s? I read a few back in fifth grade. But yes! @awesomepolyglot I would recommend them too, very well written! :slight_smile:
