High School Class of 2020

It went well, thank you for asking. How was yours? I have so much homework, but its not too bad. @anthonytheboy

@writer80 At this rate, my school’s bank will open before the library. lol

Hahaha @bawbdmo

@writer80 It went well for me too. Thanks.

@bawbdmo XD.

Have a good day!

ugh im sad because I have to move at the beginning of freshman year and I just started to make new friends :frowning:
anyone have any advice on moving? thanks

@catsarecute32 Don’t be cynical. That’s what I did. It all worked out, but not for a while. Join clubs. Talk to people.

@catsarecute32 I am sorry that this is happening. I hope, however, you make lots of awesome friends who never leave your side!

Have a good day!

Hey guys! It’s been a long time since I logged on. How is everything? Did you guys get into the clubs you wanted to get into? I have quite the dilemma, and I was wondering if you guys can help me balance my afterschool schedule. I have debate team (which can benefit me the most, scholarships, travel freshman year, etc) But should I join yearbook club. I’m highly interested but it’s full of seniors; and ill be the only freshman
Will that at least look interesting, or should I just forget about joining
Another thing is debate meets mon, weds, and thurs. Yearbook club is on thursdays

@wydlife Thanks so much for your input! I am glad things are going well. I hope you get into the yearbook club.

Something I have bothered about in my high school is that almost every high school after school program meets on Monday
For example, I wanted to join UNICEF, the Key Club, Speech and Debate, and/or Model UN. I also helped with setting up Homecoming, however, that is only in September, and we are finished. I will now have the choice to join a club. Model UN, the key Club, and Speech and Debate are all meeting on Mondays, like almost every club at my high school. UNICEF’s first meeting has not yet been announced. I hope it is not on a Monday, but the chance is likely.

Have a good day!

School has been stressful, especially honors biology. My motivation? Thinking of the day I get accepted to Tufts.

You’ll get there! As of the second week of school, they transferred me into Honors Geometry instead of regular algebra 1 (in my old school I took honors algebra 1) and I expected to get into honors algebra 2. Not every school goes by that pattern, so that class is especially hard for me .

It will be okay! Oh and if you meant I’ll get there, thank you! If not, well I appreciate the support to anyone! Haha  @wydlife

How is everyone in terms of grades? I hope you are all well.

Have a good day!

@wydlife don’t be scared of geometry! we did proof based geometry and it was especially easy for me because if I lost my place or didn’t understand something, I would just think of the logical progression that took me to that place. Two points determine a line my friend :^)

@bawbdmo Thank you for the reassurance! Right now we are learning about proofs, thank you for the tip!

Can anyone of you explain what model UN or Key Club is? I was never introduced to those “organizations” (not sure what else to call it
) and I am so curious. What does it do, how does it help you and is it for a specific grade? What is your experience with it?

I’m Class of 2020!! So glad I found this thread

@nerdy01 We are very glad you are here! It is very nice to meet you.

@wydlife I probably can not help you with Model UN. However, I went to the first meeting for the Key Club. I personally recommend it. Key Club is an EC where you volunteer service and try to support others. There are many opportunities for leadership and community service. It is an EC you should be part of if you love community service, however. I hope this helped and sorry for the vague explanation!

Have a good day!

Ayyyyyye! I haven’t been on CC for so long. How’s everyone?? I just took the PSAT today I’m feeling pretty good about it

@wydlife I’m in MUN!! It’s basically what the name is: a mock Model UN. You debate on broad topics (like Syria, xenophobia, the Philippines, etc.) while representing a country that’s assigned to you. You start by presenting a speech and it later progresses into a full on debate. The goal is to come up with a resolution; the session doesn’t end until most of the chamber concurs with a proposed resolution. If you in speech and debate, it’s a lot like Student Congress.

@pinklinks Thanks for your kindness! I took the PSAT 8/9 today as well. I feel pretty good about it too. I am well, thank you. How about you and everyone on CC?

Have a good day!

hows school going so far for everyone?
1 semester ends in 1 1/2 months for me so im curious as to how all of you are doing so far?
