How do you all have perfectly edited posts?

~O)

There is now a sticky with a link to forum rules and TOS in the Community & Forum Issues board. It would be good if that was a sticky in each forum.

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/community-forum-issues/</a></p>

Wow! That was a fast response to our comments about its absence! Wish the software folks were as prompt in responding to suggestions/requests as the admins are (even if it is a bit more challenging to rewrite program glitches than to make a sticky post/thread)!

Maybe while they are at it, they could make a stick thread of the bulletin board code that works on this new board. It’s not quite the same as the old one, which I presume is why I can’t find the old thread. But maybe the powers that be, don’t actually want us to use italics, bold, or quote boxes?
:-w

And I agree I HATE that the dumb emoticon thing blocks what you are typing.** DUMB.** (And I hate that I can’t do italics and bold just by holding down the control key and i or b.

There used to be a way to find previous posts of a given member. Is that no longer possible?

Ditto.

You’re welcome! I do what I can.

Nrdsb4, can’t you click on a user’s name and click on “Threads” or “Replies”?

^^^^^I must be an idiot because I don’t see a “Threads” or “Replies” option when I click on a name. When I click on a name, it takes me to their profile page and I see number of posts, last activity, etc. but no way to see past posts. What am I doing wrong?!

From that screen, click on Threads or Replies @Nrdsb4

Okay, I finally saw it. For some reason, my pages load with the left side partially obscured. I have to manually cursor to the left to see it.

Thanks!

Mine are perfectly edited because I’m perfect…(I like to maintain that image with my kids…)

For longer posts, compose in Word (or other document software), then cut & paste the verbiage.

The computer version of CC had a “preview” function that the mobile phone version doesn’t have.

If we post imperfectly edited comments, will we not prevent our children from acceptance to the best schools?
