<p>I am so glad to read that I was not the only one with lots of apps running. I went to the Apple store looking for help because I kept getting kicked out of Safari. My nice genius showed me how to fix it. She said to clear them at least once a day and to turn it off at least once a day as well. Things have been fine since but she acted like EVERYONE knew to do it. I guess that’s why she is a genius and I am not.</p>

<p>Peabodie are you talking about the OnLive subscription service that streams game & now windows? I tried to find out more info about them but their server was jammed.

<p>So that was kind of my thinking zoeydoggie…how do you find out about these things? For example I just learned that you can use the + volume button on your iPhone as the shutter release…what other tip/tricks am I missing??</p>

<p>Hardly! I had owned an iPad for almost a year before one on my D’s clued me in to the fact that every app I owned was open. I figured that they all closed themselves when you turned the iPad off…</p>

<p>OK so still having the same issue…twice today got kicked out 3 times in a span of about 5 minutes!! I think both times I was on pintrest but will have to pay better attention to where I was…any other suggestions?</p>
<p>When you say “kicked out” do you mean the website just cut out and it returned you to the ipad home page with your app icons?</p>
<p>My son’s arrived Friday, too. My cover came that day, but no ipad. I wonder if the sqirrels waled off with it.</p>
<p>I saw the new iPad on display in an Apple store this weekend. I could not see any difference in the screen resolution. And, I have the original. Old eyes and all that, maybe.</p>
<p>Old eyes is why I am interested in the new one. Several of my friends have the 2md version & I thought it would be too much strain to use the slightly fuzzy screen. The new iPad is much sharper,although the first thing I do is get a screen protector that is antiglare which cuts the brightness of the screen slightly.</p>
<p>One thing you might try with Safari, if you have plenty of available memory is to delete the app from your iPad then reinstall it.

<p>Thanks for the tip on closing apps; I am another one that had the original iPad and never knew.</p>
<p>My new iPad arrived on Friday, several days before Apple said it would arrive. I am using the LTE right now and really notice a difference in speed from my old 3G. We have an old cabin that does not have Internet and my old AT&T service didn’t work there so I wanted to upgrade. I also wanted the camera so I can Skype. I don’t know if it would be worth it to upgrade from the 2 but it was definitely worth it to me to go from the 1 to the 3. It also is much easier on these old eyes.</p>
<p>@abasket, that’s exactly what happens! Really kind of annoying! The last time it happened I check to see what apps were open and nothing was open!</p>
<p>I believe the pinterest site uses Javascript which has been causing problems on iPad.</p>
<p>Apple has relatively small teams working on the different issues but I expect a fix shortly.</p>
<p>Pinterest also has an app which may work better.</p>
