Wow, everyone’s still pretty active around here. Nice to see. Now that I’m finally relaxed and jobless, maybe I’ll drop by every now and then too.

I think this patriotic song shows a lot about diversity in India. I love watching/listening to it when it makes a rare appearance while I’m watching television:
[Mile Sur Mera Tumhara/url
I also like this patriotic song:
[url=<a href=“- YouTube”>- YouTube]Ae mere pyare watan](<a href=“Mile Sur Mera Tumhara [High Quality] - YouTube”>Mile Sur Mera Tumhara [High Quality] - YouTube)
First three lines:
*O my beloved homeland, my distant paradise, I sacrifice my heart for you.
You are my cherished desire, you are my honor, you are my life.
I salute the breeze that has passed from your valleys, I will kiss anyone who will mention your name. *

PD: So, I’m guessing your connection with India is schooling? Hmm…AWC?
And can we move on from this Penn discussion? Otherwise bad-pixie shall make an appearance.

I hope no discrete surveillance is taking place which might prove detrimental to the cause at hand. :)

Anti-wigger confederation? [That’s what google said it was.]

Lol, kk. But Penn’s admissions process is definitely the most interesting.
I’ve been trying to research admissions a bit more lately so that I can better help out my juniors (and earn some cash on the side for my services :)).

^Ooh I love that song!
What’s unique about the first link I posted is that it’s the same line sung in fourteen different languages of the country! :)

I meant to write UWC. Come onn what is it??? I’m curious and you’re conveniently available to annoy.;)

Haha. Your Indian connection, Sherlock. What is it?
Or, are am I intruding on something? :o
Interesting that you mention public service, I was offered an internship with Amnesty, but I decided not to take it. I thought I wanted to have one absolutely free summer before four more continuous years (since I doubt we’re going to have summers free too?). Yes, I know, I’m being terribly lazy.
What area are you interested in?
Apart from having to get up at five, life’s moving smoothly enough.
Are you doing international pre orientation (if stanford offers one that is)?

Oh I am so muddled. :o
I misread it as social service.

Ugh, international pre orientation at harvard seems to be nothing more than generic stuff about american culture and other things that are covered in normal orientation. The only “good part” about it is that they have “amazing parties” which is hardly a good thing since I doubt I’d want to party every night with jet lag.

Haha. Nah, not social service. I’m just not cut out for that.

Ah, I’m not into partying at all. Not into doing High school stuff again. Glad that I have actual events to look forward to [even though they’re pretty pointless too], unlike you. :p

i wanted 2 do FAP[freshman arts program], but it had a lot of extra troublesome application stuff. I’ve applied to FOP[outdoor prog] too but trudging around in the woods with less than basic ameneties and yucky canned food [and NO bath:eek:] in my first week doesn’t sound like bliss to me.;)

Ab yeh kya hai? You and your ambiguous acronyms. :|

Dude, that sounds awesome. And here I was looking forward to my faculty panel discussions and dinners with my class lol.

Boston has plenty of good places to eat out. Don’t worry about the food. Hey, it really could be a lot worse. You could’ve been going to New Haven. :P

Haha, I love how you (not being Indian even one tiny bit) just spout some hindi out of the blue. Did you actually learn it?
Btw, that wasn’t meant for anyone in particular. It’s not an acronym! And there you must have been googling desperately to check out the meaning. :p

Well, we did have quite a few options for pre orientation programs. Basically you just show up one week in advance for them. These (fop/fap) are different from the International pre orientation prog btw.
Well, yes, that’s true. But for most meals I shall have to settle with american blandness right? Good food=indian food!
American food seems to have such little nutrition!
