LOST (the tv series) anyone?

Boone had a nanny? I do VAGUELY remember something about someone falling up the stairs, down the stairs, etc., but have no idea what.
Other than the name “Jughead” painted on the bomb, I didn’t notice so many of the little clues being pointed out here :frowning: I’d better start being more attentive to keep up with this season!

Does anyone remember Charlotte (the nosebleed one) being on an archeological dig in the desert and she found a polar bear with a Dharma collar on? She seemed to be expecting to find it. How does that fit in?

north minn: but the other soldier was named Cunningham & that’s what it said on the fatigues…hmmmm?

I know…thought about Cunningham…hmmm
I don’t think Theresa is Penny’s mom…she is the young girl with Daniel in the photo he found in the abandoned lab.
I believe Boone was sick and Theresa supposedly died from falling down the stairs??? It’s just a vague memory!

I’m drawing a complete blank on anything to do with Boone’s nanny. Drat.

Am guessing the nosebleed/hemorrhage is a hazard of time travel, and probably what also happened to the girl in the bed (Theresa)? Though Charlotte seemed to handle it well enough the time she ended up in the desert…

Does anyone else just love Hurley??? oxoxoxo

Love the character of Hurley, really annoyed that after all the exercise they get (miles of walking around the island) and the early seasons of lack of food, the character is just getting fatter. A person that size could not possibly hike for a day up and down hills as the story line has included. I like the fact that they have some size diversity in the cast, but that kid would be either thinner or dead if he was really hiking the distances the script implies on the island. I have friends who are that large. Climbing one flight of stairs means a 2 minute breather at the top.

It looked like both Hurley and John Locke gained some weight (or got a little softer) these last few months!

How on earth do you people remember all these incidental names/characters from past seasons? I still miss the blond girl that Hurley romanced, plus Anna… the Michelle Rodriquez character, forgot her name, and the girl Said was in love with (Boone’s sister)-- what was her name? All dead, but with all this time travel, maybe there’s hope?

I think the girl with the braids and the gun may be the same as the lady who would not sell Desmond the ring-- Eloise/Ellie Hawking, time traveled and name changed (tribute to Stephen Hawking?). I also think that she may be Faraday’s mom. I also think that Jones/Widmore may be Faraday’s dad, which would make him Penny’s brother.

And, I am very impressed at remembering Teresa falling up and down the stairs and linking her with The Girl in the Bed!

bela: It helps to remember all the names and plot lines if you read either televisionwithoutpity.com or lostpedia. I’m not a total fanatic about Lost, but there are some people out there who are, and keep the rest of us up to speed.

Speculation is that the fatigues the Others were wearing came from the US soldiers they killed (the soldiers who left the bomb). Which explains why Widmore was wearing a uniform that said Jones.

I love Lost, too, and think this season and last were great. The pace really picked up when they had an end point in mind. Although there are so many open questions, I really wonder if they will tie up all the loose ends.

I don’t recall Charlotte “ending up in the desert”. I remember her arriving there in either a car or helicopter, and she was expected. When did she time travel? Which episode? I will look this up but would appreciate some help here.

^^^She didn’t time travel to Tunisia…she did arrive normally.
bela…Libby was Hurley’s flirtation on the island and also seen in the mental hospital. Waiting to hear about that connection!!! Ana Lucia was Michelle Rodriquez’ character. Shannon was Boone’s sister and Sayid’s fling on the island.

Our family loves Lost. We have all the dvds and love to hunt for clues!!!

Yes, the time travel does affect people with nosebleeds, etc., and then death – but it seems like something different is happening to the girl in the bed. Her sister says she’s “keeps traveling” – like she can’t control it and her brain keeps going to different times in an endless loop.

Charles Widmore is Penny’s father.

^ the other poster was referring to Faraday being Penny’s brother.

^^ Oops, I just re-read Franglish’s post and you’re right. Sorry! My head is spinning with all of these theories but they’re a lot of fun to contemplate. Check out [What’s Alan Watching?: Lost, “Jughead”: How to dismantle a hydrogen bomb](What's Alan Watching?: Lost, "Jughead": How to dismantle a hydrogen bomb) for one of the best online discussions of Lost -Season 5 that I’ve seen.

haha yeah i spend way too much time on Lostpedia - does wonders for my study skills

My DD thinks that the girl in the bed is doing the same thing Desmond did. Her mind is switching between times and she doesn’t have a “constant”. Remember Penny is Desmond’s “constant”.

^ then why didn’t she develop a nosebleed and die long ago like the guy on the freighter or Desmond (had he not contacted Penny)

Does anyone recall Sawyer’s toe getting injured? I don’t, but am awful at details. S1 said LOST bloggers are discussing it as a possible link to the four-toed statue (remember?). A bit of a stretch, but anything is possible.
