LOST (the tv series) anyone?

I don’t watch this show but my daughter’s college friend is an actress in this show so I might start watching it now. :D

which character?

it’s the hatch all over again, they thought that pushing the button did nothing but it was really critical, this is just another red herring like the pearl station, the past in unchangeable.

dstark, I don’t know. I’ve yet to watch the show.

ok…

Just watched last night’s episode (TIVO). Still scratching my head…why would Ellie sacrifice her son Daniel? To save the island by ensuring that Oceanic plane does crash? I am a bit dizzy from all this time travel.

I like Daniel, too–and as we’ve seen on “Lost” only about a zillion times, dead doesn’t necesarily mean dead. Stay tuned.

Doesn’t anybody watch LOST anymore?

I thought last night’s episode was well done.

One of the main stars is going to die next week.

I’m not too happy about this because I like all of them.

I hope it’s not Kate.

She’s gorgeous.

There’s a good chance we won’t know who dies until next January.

I just finished watching it on TIVO. I am a bit confused with all the past/present stuff. Why dosen’t Richard Alpert have more of a clue? What lies in the shadow of the statue? Is dead really dead? Scenes from next week show all of them on the island…guess that means that Juliet/Sawyer/Kate don’t really leave on the sub?

My guess is Kate tells Sawyer and Juliet what Jack’s plans are and Sawyer wants to go back to the island to prevent Jack from being successful.
Kate, Sawyer and Juliet don’t want to change the past.
They want the plane to crash on the island.

Otherwise, Juliet is still stuck on the island, Kate is going to jail and Sawyer goes back to scheming.

So the survivors have different interests.

Richard may have a clue.

This talk of Locke being in charge looks to be nonsense. That’s what I get from the conversation between Ben and Richard.

I thought last night’s episode was really good. And I agree about Locke-- he seems way too sure of himself. Maybe by taking everyone to see Jacob he’s testing their belief or exposing a fraud. Supposedly we’ll soon learn more about Jacob and his background.

As for who might be killed off, am guessing Sawyer, Kate, or Juliette, but wish it were Ben (ha!). It’s weird seeing Richard be so tentative - I like his character better as all-knowing and sort of mysterious. He’s one of my favorites.

Supposedly Jack is becoming more a ‘man of faith’ (or kook) like Locke was. Wonder if there’ll be some sort of showdown between the two at some point?

Loved Sayid showing up – good surprise!

My LOST moment of insanity from last night
Everyone will probably think I’m an idiot, but when the Dharma guys were interrogating/beating up Sawyer, they showed black and white footage of Kate out in the brush, hurrying and looking back over her shoulder.
Was it just me, or did this remind anyone else of that old footage of Bigfoot we all saw as kids?

Why do you say someone is going to die next week? Was that in the previews? I must have totally missed that part!

Who did Locke say he was going to kill? As I’ve asked around, half of my viewer-friends thought Locke said, “I’m going to kill HIM (as in Jacob); half thought he said THEM (as in …)” What did you hear?

patsmom–I only heard if from S1, who is a big fan and reads all the blogs–

jasmom-- Locke said he was going to kill Jacob – at least I’m pretty sure that’s what he said.

I also heard Locke say he was going to kill Jacob.

OK. Me too, but I was beginning to doubt myself. Thanks for the confirmation.

Yeah, I don’t know why people are saying that a major character will die next week. Maybe they read the spoilers online. I just watched the episode today and Locke definitely said that he intends to kill Jacob. Jacob is the smoke right? He can materialize as people who are dead?

I don’t think so, else Locke would have talked to the smoke monster when he assisted Ben to the tunnels.

I don’t think anyone really has a clue about who Jacob is, although I’m sure we all have our theories… I’m hoping whatever we see next week will reconcile the whole mystery about Jack’s father, though.

I can’t help but think of Jacob as someone/something like Anthony Perkin’s mother in Psycho…

As for someone being doomed, am guessing S probably read it on one of the many LOST websites— blogs, spoilers, etc.

Bumping up this thread and hoping someone is watching this and paying better attention than I. I am lost. At the beginning, Jacob was a person. Who was Jacob talking to and what did they say?
