I’ve told my close friends but I’m low-key thinking it was a mistake bc they have all been acting like I’ve gotten in and I’m leaving them…It’s nice because they’re super supportive but still hold it against me a little bit. Definitely makes me a little guilty because I’m at the point where if I get in I’m going to go but I don’t want to tell them that yet.
What time was yours? Mine was at 9am, so maybe my interviewer was a bit tired
Mine was at 11:30 it just keeps getting worse
I really liked my other interviews though, like at Exeter and Andover so I’m really glad for those experiences
Hi Y’all, 11th grade applicant here (reapplying a 2nd time)
-Applying to around 18 schools
I found myself being more stronger in the STEM rather than Sports so I made sure to highlight it throughout my application.
-I believe that everyone did their very best
I had an interview at 3 am with an interviewer from Japan :>
I’ve told some of my friends and they don’t seem to mind. I was a bit unsure about telling them , because It’s very unorthodox for a 10th grader to want to leave for a boarding school.
One month remaining until M10! (Depending on where you are- it’s Feb. 10th for me right now.) If you think about it, February is such a short month to begin with, and February Break starts soon, so it’s pretty much already March. And when it’s March, it’s basically already M10.
Same for me. But if I get rejected from everywhere, I know they’ll never let me forget it lol
Are you international? Ik some cultures are against kids leaving home until 25-30. I guess at that point they wouldn’t really be kids though lol
Reapplying a second time, meaning this is your third time applying? Or second time applying?
Either way 18 is a lot of schools! I’m also interested in STEM. Best of luck!
All of my interviews were between 9-10 AM except for the one that was online
I think talking about random stuff is OK… it helps you bond with the interviewer and it means you’re having a genuine conversation. For one of my interviews we went 20 minutes over because somehow during our conversation we realized that we both hated eggs. We spent a solid 15 minutes talking about it. I only like them as crepes and turns out my interviewer only likes them sunny-side up on burgers lol
I’m a domestic applicant
I first applied for my 10th grade year (4ish schools)
I’m now applying for my 11th grade year
Lucky, I was only able to get online interviews because most of the time slots were during my school time
I missed school for most of my interviews. I wish there were options on the weekends but I guess class wouldn’t be in session then for the tours. It also helps because I live reasonably close to all over my schools (4/6 are within an hour and the other 2 are still within 2-3) so it was much easier to visit than for most people. If I were to get in I’d be a local boarder for most schools
Lucky, Im like 5 -7 states away LMBO
Yeah, I feel like it’s the best of both worlds. I get away from my family but they’re still reasonably close where I can see them often and they can drive me places lmao
This is so me lol applying for the second time as well and to 21 schools for grade 11
