Have most decisions been finalized by now?

Why did you lose interest in Groton?

We just received a decision today for a private day school. When we opened Ravenna there were confetti flying before we had fully opened the decision. Does anyone know if they all do this for acceptances in Ravenna?

Nope! Enjoy being celebrated

My family is Christian, but non-denominational. Groton is affiliated with the Episcopal Church, a denomination with several beliefs that go against my own. At Groton, all Christian denominations meet under the Episcopal service, so I’d rather go to a non-religious school, or a school with less religious focus, than Groton.

Also, the student body is 7 times smaller than my current high school, so it would be an incredibly grand adjustment that I’d rather not make. There would be students who joined as 8th graders and freshmen, and I feel that everyone would already be pre-connected. The public and private colleges that I’m interested in are large as well, so I wouldn’t want to get used to the small tightknit community.

It sounds great academically, however, and holds a strong and well noted record, so if you’re applying, I wish you the best of luck!

14 schools!

14 for me but same loss of interest regarding the Hill school!

For the record, there is separate Catholic service.

How did you do this? Sincerely.

My son applied to 4 and found the effort to be intense, with testing and essays and interviews and visits. To get the details correct at each stage took time on his part and support from me.

I am amazed at the kids who got apps for more than a handful of schools completed.

All who managed a full load of applications while attending school and sports and everything else are impressive. I hope you get some nice choices after all that work!
