Because the number of our acceptances and people who accept/decline offers can affect the number of acceptances that they’re able to give for deferred/waitlisted. I presume it’s less about which grade your in and more about the number of spots left for the specific major you’re applying for. Like ours would be released at the same time as theirs if our numbers had no affect on theirs, you know?

Frankly, NYU is unrealistic. Everyone knows that this is crunch time and that students are waiting to hear back from colleges to be able to make an informed decision on which institution meets their academic and financial needs best. I applied on April 1st and still no word. NYU says students should expect to hear back by May-June. “May-June” is really vague. It’s also very late! If someone is only waiting to hear back from NYU, if that is their only option, fine. But most people have applied for many colleges and universities, so why make us wait that long, jeopardizing other strong options? Six weeks is more than enough. They should establish a hard deadline for decisions, so applicants can decide if it’s worth the wait.

D would be transferring into Tisch/Clive as a junior.
Checklist gone somewhere between April 22 and 26.
No other changes anywhere. And we are both stressed! NYU better get that wave going like NOW!!!
