I just want to say thank you so much. You’ve been here for so long, guiding and supporting all of us. Giving us all of the information we all needed to hear. I’m so sorry to hear your daughter didn’t get in and that you and her both had to wait so long to hear this. I trust that your daughter will find her way and do big and better things.
Thank you for being here for all of us, from the very beginning. You’ve helped me and encouraged me more than you know. I appreciate you so much

Congrats to those of you who were waitlisted today! Be so proud of yourself and I wish you the best, whether you find your way at NYU or on another path.
I won’t lie and say I’m not a bit heartbroken about being rejected today. This was a massive wave of rejection which none of us really saw coming. This seems kind of unprecedented being that first big waves are typically mainly acceptances, and we were yet to have our BIG wave. So this was it. Completely unpredictable and that’s what the college process in general is: unpredictable. This rejection wave was so massive that it makes me think NYU was so impacted with deferrals or other circumstances surrounding the pandemic, or has very limited space and had to rush and reject a lot of us. Because a ton of us are STRONG applicants.
Regardless, I’m going to have to remind myself of the unpredictable nature of college admissions and I hope those of you who were rejected today know you deserve so much more, and your worth is not defined by one college, one name, or one setback. I know all of you are going to do amazing things and I’m so, truly grateful to have encountered this thread and gotten to know some really kind and compassionate, smart, talented, and overall amazing people through this. You all deserve the best. I wish you guys the best moving forward.
