My kid did not get into the honors program, but was invited to submit to the scholars program instead. Did this happen to anyone else? Also, can you get into the Morrill Scholars program without being in honors ?

My kid got Morrill a few weeks ago ; just got scored to honors last night
My daughter also got the email that she wasnât accepted into honors but was invited to apply to a Scholars program. She was definitely disappointed.
I think mine is slightly disappointed, but realizing that the scholar program might be a better fit. Especially with the rigor of what their schedule will be within their major/minor. We are more concerned about the merit package without being in honors. Hoping they give something ! They applied to Morrill

80% of Morrill scholars are also honors and scholars students.
Ok, so if they get into scholars then they might have a better chance ?
Not sure if thatâs what it means but those were the stats on the scholars and honors program site if you wanna check it out.
I got the Morill Scholarship and got accepted into Business Scholar. I didnât apply for Honors. I can always do business honors later, if I want to. The Scholars program, I can only start as a freshman. This is what my brother explained to me, he graduated last year.

We were told at an Admitted Students tour yesterday, that although some scholarship information has been released, final financial aid packages (including scholarships) will be out early March. We were also reminded to have students check OSU e-mail regularly.

Will merit decisions only come out via OSU email? Or will the studentâs email receive notification as well?
Got an email today that I am being given a grant to attend Buckeye Bound. Not sure of dates yet though.

We received notification of the âMaximus, Provost and Trusteesâ group of merit scholarship today. It was mailed 2/7. Hope you receive something soon.

Has anyone heard if they are doing waves of decisions or are do we have to wait until April? My daughter was deferred so not sure how long we will have to wait.
