when I open a thread, instead of taking me to the new posts I haven’t read, it bounces me to some other spot on the page.
Happening to me too. And it’s been happening all day.
This is a new glitch.
I had that problem and discovered that an ad was kidnapping my cursor and putting it in the ad’s search box when I changed pages. Sometimes the ad was at the top of the page, sometimes the side, sometimes the bottom so depending on where my cursor was that was the part of the page I saw. It was an ad for Adobe. After three days of it my son-in-law installed an ad blocker and that solved the problem. Don’t know if that’s what been happening to you but it sounds similar.
Thanks for reporting! I am not able to replicate the issue. I’ve tried both scenarios: 1) using the ad blocker; 2) without the ad blocker. Is the problem still occurring?
Not with the ad blocker on. I’ll try it without when I get some time later.
With which device/OS/browser does it happen?
I turned off the ad block and I’m still getting the kidnapped cursor. I’m using Chrome on a Windows 8 laptop. It happens about every 3-5 page changes. The ad reads “Get 10 free Adobe stock images” and the cursor ends up in the search box of the ad.
This happens to me with an iPad Air…using the site through safari.
