My son just received acceptance to University of Miami (FL) with President’s Scholarship. He should be hearing from another school either tonight or by Sunday at the latest per their latest tweet.

I have to say … U of M was extremely generous! My goodness! S got Presidential Scholarship for $28K + $3K Florida Grant, a grand total of $31K of free money!
We are locals, so Board and Room wouldn’t be necessary. An offer like this + Florida Bright Future’s money will make U of M very, very affordable for a family like mine
The only problem is that we are trying to find out of state options and so far NEU continues to beat everything and everyone. I’m grateful, though

@kittymom1102 Congrats to your S too! Yes UM is very generous with merit for high stats kids.
Looks like our sons applied to many of the same schools. My son also got into NEU with scholarship and we love the school and Boston. Also was admitted to USC with Dean’s Scholarship. He is still waiting to hear from 4 more schools but he has some outstanding offers so far.

We still have a ton of schools to hear from during RD. Wouldn’t be nice if our kiddos end up at the same school?
Fortunately we don’t have to make up our minds right now. We got time. In the meantime we’re enjoying every little victory!

@Ballerina016 That is my alma mater. I transferred there and finished my degree, which worked out to be three semesters. I had great teachers there. Truly, my most memorable class was my First Amendment Law class at CSULB.

Good news here in SoFlo too . . . DS got into Clemson with some merit $$ (nice) and University of Maryland College Park. Computer Science at both schools. Great start to the weekend.
