@educationfan - My D is in exactly the same situation with 2 overlapping scholarship finalist programs (one is 3/28 - 3/31; the other is 3/30 - April 2nd). The earlier one wants her to stay through at least 8:30pm on the 30th; the later one needs her there by 3pm on the 30th and can’t budge on arrival time as D’s time is already being split between two scholarship programs.
@srk2017, Congrats…Great news. Done for the next 7 years…you can start worrying about residency hospital now.
@LoveTheBard - those seem like fairly long scholarship sessions…ugh!
@thinmints - Tell me about it!
USCali had the right idea – one overnight, a morning interview and ciao bambino.
Even better are the ones that fork over the money without the student needing to do a song and dance (thank you Grinnell, thank you Vandy!).
Four days really is a bit over the top! If they can’t accommodate a shorter stay, it’ll be their loss…
@srk2017 Congrats, super news!!!
Thanks @BigPapiofthree. DS is not ready to commit to that school. He wants to wait for all the outcomes and is even open to take traditional path!
Congratulations @srk2017 and @Mom2aphysicsgeek , so exciting!!!
Ok, I know I’m late with this, but I’m still catching up on this thread!! @RightCoaster Hey congrats to your son on Champion for Pickle Ball! That’s so neat!! And why shouldn’t it grant him more merit
Where do you guys snowboard?
@eandesmom Yikes, I never even heard of frozen shoulder until I got it. He did give me daily PT but I’m only doing it once or twice per day, I think I need to increase my time!
@dfbdfb thanks for the kind words on my shoulder, I’m starting to wonder if there’s a tear, but the PT guy says it wouldn’t change my therapy. And as for fixing that thread, it was driving me nuts too but took me much longer than I expected so I’m glad someone appreciated it! ;
@Mom2aphysicsgeek And WOW on the great news on USC for your D! Congratulations!!! She must be thrilled! <:-P
@mamaedefamilia that’s great, we have some ballet dancers in the family! What production did they do? Or was it an original?
@srk2017 Wow congrats! Great option, can’t wait to hear what he decides!
@jmek15 please do report back about UMD we are going to the April 7th admitted students day and would love any insight.
@srk2017 congrats on the RPI BS/MD that is awesome!!
We have at least 2 decisions coming out next week maybe more, please send your good mojo my DS’s way
@lbf We’re going to the March 31 UMD visit day, though not for engineering.
@srk2017 Congrats! And how wonderful to be done!
@WhereIsMyKindle keep me posted on your visit and thoughts. I’m excited to visit it looks amazing!! My DS is a little worried it is so big and he goes to a small school now with 135 kids in his grade. I’m looking forward to our visit though it seems so far away. Tennis is in season and it is hard for him to miss school and the April is right before his spring break.
Thanks @smcirish. We are no where close to being done
Congrats for your son’s acceptance @srk2017! Great news!!
@LoveTheBard Selfish of me to say, but I am glad we are not alone trying to be in several places at the same time:) I guess we should be happy about all these scholarship opportunities… then why am I feeling so stressed out? We all need a niiiiice relaxing vacation once it’s all set and done:)
@educationfan - I keep having to remind myself that it’s a very good problem to have…
@WhereIsMyKindle We’ll be there the same day, but for engineering.
@srk2017 Congrats!
@srk2017 Big congrats on the admit! D14 considered that program for about 2 seconds! Awesome stuff!
@Mom2aphysicsgeek Big congrats to your family on USC! D’s friend goes there and loves it!
@cleoforshort - Thanks. Where is your D14 now?
