Parents of the HS Class of 2024 (Part 2)

Will any additional schools be added? Only two of the 9 we applied to were on the list.

We have considered the 100+ most popular schools on CC. I’ll check if we can add more. Which schools are you missing?

Temple , DePaul, Clark

less known: Seton Hall, Seattle University, Willamette

Is your kid in-state for either of those schools? With Computer Science, for example, at UIUC, if you’re an OOS student, you have to be admitted as a freshman into CS and absolutely cannot change your major from something else TO CS after you’ve started there. Not sure if that applies to other majors for OOS students at that school.

As said, we are looking to add more schools and we’ll post an update. Unfortunately we cannot make a survey to include all the schools out there so we had to limit the number.

Awesome and thanks a ton! Very appreciated.

My son is torn between Syracuse and RIT. Attended accepted students day at RIT and headed to Cuse this weekend. My daughter is a senior at Syracuse. Welcome to the :tangerine:family

We’re on a Syracuse admitted student tour virtually for Whitman right now.

Dartmouth responded to our financial aid appeal and made a minor adjustment. But it’s still 20%+ more expensive than Swat or Wes and still more than WashU, Bowdoin, and Smith. We were told that Dartmouth only considers the financial aid offers of other Ivies. Oh well. It’s certainly their prerogative to offer any amount of aid, but I’m slightly annoyed that Dartmouth’s NPC was so far off. Every other school’s FA package was close if not better than the NPCs I ran, so I feel confident in my inputs. D24 indicated that she was slightly inclined toward Swat a few days ago, so that’s fortunate.

Well, there went my plans to add Plan B birth control to D24’s meds/first aid kit for freshman year. AZ state supreme court came out with a huge ruling today.

I doubt the Maricopa County sheriff will search her dorm room. Hopefully the legislature will act as the governor called for them to do. Enough signatures have been gathered to put the right to abortion on the November ballot. (Reuters is reporting)

Meanwhile, what has Congress done since…ever?

Were they able to explain the differential? It won’t change anything but perhaps it would give you peace of mind - whether their calculator is off or perhaps something was entered incorrectly?

We will be at leadership scholars Thursday and spring reception Friday!

Well, I haven’t purchased any of it yet and don’t know if you’ll still be able to purchase Plan B pills in 2 weeks from this coming Tuesday, which is when the new AZ supreme court ruling goes into effect. So am going to hit up CVS and Walgreens tomorrow morning to buy some just in case.

No. But I’m fairly confident my inputs were accurate. I went over the same NPC inputs in detail with a Williams FA advisor before D24 submitted an ED app.

@Acpurple22, we added these schools to the list.

I didn’t see the University of Rochester (if you are taking suggestions).

Is there a parent forum for kids that got accepted into Brown University for Fall 2024?

As an Iowa State State alum, I laughed it this when I saw it a few years ago.
