Margarita is beginning to get on my nerves.
I don’t think margarita is the worst, but I want her to go. I just think kantaro is,off tonight but have better hope for him.
They were kind of broadcasting what was going to happen there…
Yes, I agree what happened was no surprise. It was obvious by Tim’s “I like it” comment that he would use his save.
Tim specifically told Margarita that he didn’t care for the gold fabric - yet she didn’t change it, and then he saves her because “I liked your look”?
One of the judges knocked Kentaro’s look “because you can’t see [the model’s] figure”. Can you see Brendan’s model’s figure? I feel like he makes the same outfit every week (hanging straps, colors, etc.). I thought Kenya should win.
I did think Kenya had the best look for the challenge of making a powerful outfit. Ayana’s reminded me of Seinfeld’s puffy shirt (thumbs down for me).
What the heck??? Why are they so enamored with Brandon? Kenya should’ve won that challenge. Margarita needs to leave as she is just not up to the same level. The finalists should be Kenya, Brandon and Ayana.
I really liked Ayana’s look. I didn’t think Kenya was strong at first but she has really stepped up her game.
I would not have used the save on Margarita. Her look felt more costume than strong to me. I liked Kenya’s the best. Brandon’s stuff all seems to look similar to me.
Very surprised Brandon’s baby bonnet/diaper pants won over Ayana;s much more polished, inventive look.
It almost seems like Brandon has been crowned already despite the fact he does not have much variety.
I agree @fireflyscout, I thought Ayana’s look was very editorial and so very polished.
“Tim’s in sweats!” haha.
Still loving the Brantero bromance. I think they need to start a sportswear/athletic wear line together.
My favorites this week were Ayana and Brandon.
I know many here aren’t loving Brandon’s style but I do. I think both Ayana and Brandon stay true to their vision and voice. Like any good artist, I think that is an important element of being a designer. The judges mention repeatedly “editorial style” and both have it. Plus, the construction of both are great, IMO. Good fit, strong sewing skills.
Kentaro seems the past few weeks. It’s like the pressure is getting to him and he is choking. I think he is skilled though. I hope he pulls it out and makes it to the final.
I’m not feeling Kenya’s stuff. I don’t love her design aesthetic - her style as well as the colors and fabrics she chooses. Not my taste.
Margarita is the weakest link remaining. I don’t like her looks at all and don’t find them very tasteful.
I’m still betting on Brandon, Ayana, and Kentaro for the final 3.
I don’t mind Brandon’s clothing and some of it is definitely cool and unique, but does he have to put long dangling straps on everything?
I have visions of Brandon fans injured on elevators, escalators, and subways due to wayward straps!
I don’t dislike Brandon’s clothes. They are just a bit repetitive.
Has Brandon ever used black?
I just watched the episode last night! I love the aesthetic of Brandon’s clothes but they have such a limited demographic. Basically pre-teen to late 20s. If my 50-something self ever wore those clothes it would be, um, hysterical and awful at the same time. And they really all look so similar. Ayana and Kenya are much more versatile. Some of Kentaro’s looks and tailoring have been amazing, but he really did choke, plus the judges all but accused him outright of copying Brandon. Margarita should have gone home, I would be shocked if she made it into the final three. It was the last time Tim could use his save, wasn’t it? I agree he just felt bad that he encouraged Margarita’s design and then the judges hated it.
Brendon would have to mess up unbelievably to get sent home next week, but the other two spots are up for grabs. If Kenya steps up again and is as strong next week then she has a chance. Her blue power dress was amazing.
I had been rooting for Kentaro but he is so inconsistent. I don’t get the love fest for Brandon’s clothes but whatever floats your boat.
I gagged when Brandon won. It frustrated me when they went after Centro for using dark colors and straps. For starters, the belt on her shoulders had cultural significance. Next, this is his first time using dark colors in weeks. Brandon has stuck within his niche for every single challenge with he same style and palette and not a single judgment. I’m also not convinced he has any ingenuity. Have you seen his girlfriends work? She does the same exact layered, strapped, streetwear look, but hers actually looks really good.
Really disappointed Margarita was not sent home.
I can’t remember any of Margarita’s designs that I liked. Not even the JCPenney dress that won.
