No there is not “exclusive” access, but research and honors advising is built into the honors college experience, and yes, there are some unique internship opportunities. Current Purdue students are able to apply to honors after freshman year if that is important to your student.
If your daughter is looking to replicate some of the honors experience as a freshman, I’d highly recommend looking at a Living Learning Community.
