Wondering if anyone knows how and if this can be fixed. See my rant below.

Long story short, the bank person on the phone - after a lot of going back and forth about where to send me, came back on the phone and said everything would be taken care of all by itself today. Well later I got a notification that I was credited $0.10 to my savings. Nothing in the IRA changed until tonight. It now shows they debited $3.90 from the IRA - the amount of the check they cut to morgan Stanley last Wednesday - but they gave the dime to ME - not to my traditional IRA with Morgan Stanley. Omg. I don’t even know where the dime came from. The $3.90 was supposed to be the interest from the time it closed to the day he cut me the check.

Is this something that can even be fixed? Should I even bother? I know it’s a dime, but I’m so freaking paranoid. I don’t know if I should go down there again or what. Or is there a chance this could magically correct itself overnight? I am sooooo irritated with this.

Consider reposting this in the retirement thread - there are some financial people there.

Attention mardi gras music fans: my favorite radio station, WBGO.org, has a program called Favorite Things. Today: New Orleans jazz. It’s an NPR station so no ads (some promotions and such, but not too much, and when you stream, you can pass it by! I am a paying member so I feel free to do so.)

I keep getting statements with 2 cents on it.

The word “silo” must be the business buzzword for 2025. I’ve heard it in webinars and conference calls since the start of the year.

The Hawaii health department and other public health orgs I’m aware of are used to the word Silo and have used it a very long time.

Sadly “Women” is a forbidden word these days in some/many circles.

Actually, it’s on the federal list of words to limit or avoid.

Yes, I was going to write that but didn’t waa as by it flagged as “political.”

I thought about that but decided to point it out because it is a fact. Debating it would be political, but pointing it out should not be deemed political.

The other day I found a piece of a piece of jewelry stuck in the tread of my sneaker. It looks like a small diamond mounted in metal on a side stem. Or maybe it’s not a diamond. How can I tell? Would it be weird to take it to a jewelry store and ask and would they charge me? I hate to throw it out not knowing. I have no idea where I picked it up or how long it had been there because it was nestled between the treads. I did ask at my gym, the one place I know I wore the sneakers, but no one had reported looking for anything.

Any jewelry store should be happy to take a look, no charge. They’re always happy to help potential future customers.

Hi - trying to decide which handles to put on the upper level of stacked cabinets.

Can I ask thoughts on whether smaller (vertical knobs) look better than smallish handles? I’m leaning to knobs since even the smallest handles seem out of scale with the teeny cabinets. (I just want this never ending reno to be done!). Thanks for any thoughts!

I like the lower photo with the larger handles, but it might be because top photo looks unfinished with the missing lower cabinet handles.

I prefer the smaller ones on top

To me the larger upper handles are distracting…

Knobs. Two rows of vertical handles is too repetitive. And also think the knobs are more proportional for the small size of the upper cabinets

Definitely the smaller ones
