Are we thinking that this Friday would be too early and it’s more likely we’ll hear the following week?
Seems like a handful will hear Friday but the bulk March 15.

Late to the game here, but my daughter is a freshman at SU. We did not get any financial aid, but she received the Leadership Scholarship (half of tuition) and then they gave her an additional $8K of merit (she just wrote a letter asking, telling them she was admitted to Honors, and they came through!). She says that all of her friends who are leadership scholars had VERY high stats coming out of HS (she was a 4.7, 1530 kid).

And I believe her decision came on March 31st last year, but I could be wrong.

I didn’t sign up b/c I tried and could for Virginia Tech which had the same website format and then my son was waitlisted- so seemed like bad karma to try again. But yes, it appears I would be able to.

You can go through all the steps of signing up but when you hit “submit” it says it is only for accepted students.
I found it annoying that Va Tech only offers their accepted student days April 6 and 7 since their admission decisions come out so much earlier. Would have been more convenient for them to hold them earlier so students can go to see the privates in April.

Would they be doing an admitted students day on March 23 if most kids didn’t find out until March 22? I think that bodes well for this Friday or next. Thoughts?
Maybe it is for the ED or ED 2 kids?

Correct, they had an earlier one for ED and ED2.
Yes March 22 is designated for ED kids. It’s been there for a while. The other dates are new as of today. We tried to register but it wouldn’t accept it after we hit submit. (But will likely try again 
) I do recall from last years thread that the dates come out a week or so before decisions, so maybe March 15 is the date …

Happy Friday. Guess there’s a small chance some of us could hear back today. Anyone know timing? 5 pm est? Email or just portal? Would be good to know so I don’t refresh all day lol (daughter asked me to while she is away at a sport event)
They sent an email last year. Full aid offer was in myslice. I don’t think we even checked the admissions portal after the email came in (there were no changes to any portals prior to the email).
I’d say go ahead and make sure your kid can access myslice in advance (that was slightly convoluted but not too bad). And then just wait for the email (which I’m guessing will come 2 weeks from now but who knows). Fingers crossed for everyone!

How do you access MySlice? I am aware of what it is, but when going to the login page, it asks for email address and password. Wouldn’t SU have to provide that? Or does my D create it herself?
If I recall, my kid received an email sometime after he applied that described the process for getting access to myslice. I don’t think it was as simple as clicking on a link, but I don’t remember it being too complicated? That’s also the portal they use as a student.

Thank you. My D has just been checking her application portal. It says that the decision will be posted there as a status update. She was not instructed to set up a MySlice account. (Hope that’s not a bad sign.)
