TAMU Transfer Fall 2019

@AggieMomhelp I was attending the new student conference and I was got overwhelmed and decided not to attend A&M at that time.

I’m gonna call tomorrow and check into the transfer audit. I’ll let you know what I find out.

I just called admissions and spoke to a aggieland representative and she said that she spoke to her supervisor and they said they haven’t started on transfer audits yet and there is no specific date they can provide when they will be sent out. They said it will take a range of 4-6 weeks after your application has been received to complete your transfer audit so I guess we will all still be waiting! Hope this helps, maybe @wonderlust1 gets a different answer if/when they call! Good luck everyone!

Hey y’all! I just recently applied and I know somone posted on here abt clicking the button that says you were top 10% and have associates they could look at transcript or something like that. I also clicked that button not really thinking it would affect my admissions decision… I thought it applied to me bc i will have my associates. I was not top 10% in HS but I will have my associates in May. Should I contact the school or do I have nothing to worry about?

Hey! I’m also having this problem! little scared to call the school. did they tell you if it was a huge mistake on your end? @gigem21tamu

Hi everyone! I applied to a&m with a 3.9 gpa, but am taking 2 really hard classes this semester that I’m already struggling in. If a&m was to accept me, and saw I didn’t do as well in these 2 classes after I was already admitted, would they revoke my admission?
Trying to do everything I can in these classes, just want to be aware of what can happen.

@gigemsis When I found out I made this mistake, I called the school and they gave me some instructions on how to fix it.
1-Log into AIS
2- click the tab that says “Contact Us”
3- Click “ Ask A Question”
4- subject type is the last option “Update Personal Information”
5- type out that you accidentally selected that you were in top 10% in your Apply Texas application and that you are NOT in top 10%.
It took them about 24 hours to respond and a day after that for it to be updated in AIS. My high school application was moved from required documents for admission to required documents if admitted. Hope this helped !

Edit: my high school transcript was moved from required documents for admission to required documents if admitted ****

I was told transfer audits should be coming in later this week or next week (28-8) for the people who applied early. They looked me up and said to call back on the 4th if I don’t see it.

@wonderlust1 Thank God. Hopefully Mays will get back with us by March 1st like the early applicants last year. I certainly hope that’s not wishful thinking.

@gigem21tamu THANK YOU SO MUCH! you have no idea how much I was stressing!

@iwannabeanaggie8 it would take failing to have tamu revoke your acceptance. Do your best but don’t stress about it. If these classes require a C or better for your degree plan and you make a D, you’ll just have to retake it. No big deal.

@AggieMomhelp thank you!! That make sure me feel way better

Howdy all!

I am currently at my local community college where I plan on this being my last semester before TAMU. I believe the transcript I sent in has 35 hours with a GPA of 3.6, I plan on majoring in Technology Management in the college of education. Do my grades look like I have a decent shot at getting in? I am anxiously waiting as I applied on January 1st. Hopefully we all hear an answer soon.

I am applying to transfer for fall 2019 for Communications in LA. I spent my freshman year at Oklahoma State majoring in Communications then have spent my sophomore year at Blinn in hopes of transferring to TAMU. I should have a 3.3/3.4 GPA but am not sure because I haven’t received a transfer audit yet. My second choice major is Environmental Studies in College of Geoscience, I’m just not sure how competitive those majors are.

@comm3211 both are 3.0 minimum GPA. How many credits will you have at the end of this semester? Also, have you looked at prereqs to make sure they are completed?

have you looked at Ag Communications? It’s less competitive GPA but a great major. Probably doesn’t have the foreign language requirements that Liberal Arts has.

@AggieMomhelp I believe I should have about 45 credits, but am not entirely sure what will transfer until I get my audit. I have all the required coursework completed and the recommended except for foreign language for Comm!

Okay, that’s great. I saw the enviro major has maximum of 60 hours so just checking.

I apologize if this has been asked already…we have received confirmation that the transcripts from the previous university have been sent and received. The AIS is saying that they have not been received. They were sent only yesterday…are we right to assume that they take a few days to process and then be updated in the AIS?

@emenheiser My AIS did not update (received & processed) until it hit the two week mark. I believe that timeline was the case for others as well. All the transcripts had been sent and received, it just took a while to process. No need to worry!
