@CamandCam transfer is much more forgiving than freshman entrance. As long as he has completed requirement classes for admittance he should be good. A strong essay is key. Explaining why the degree. Why Tamu. What he brings Tamu etc. also choose a second degree choice that is comparable and may be easier to be accepted if first choice Denies him. Acknowledge the second choice in the essay. As in give it a nod.
I’m applying for transfer from a CC in Washington State. Intended major in Comp Sci and have completed all the required coursework with a current GPA of 3.89. I’m finalizing my essay now, is my chance high?
Thanks! @AggieMomhelp
Where can I find my transfer audit?
@wwhypebeast Yes, I would say if you have that GPA and required courses complete, there’s a high probability of acceptance into that major. Good Luck and well done!
@masondubs It’s on Howdy portal. Under applicant tab and then I believe Manage Application. There should be a box above where it shows what you applied for. I’m saying all this from memory.
Submitted my application 1/17!
I’ve been waiting for the email saying A&M has received my application, but it hasn’t come. The suspense is killing me. I asked someone at A&M and they said it takes a few business days to receive it then another few business days to get my UIN. Then after that a few weeks before my transcripts are processed. Anyone else still waiting?
@aggiebound1996 I submitted my application 1/3 and it took about a week for them to get my email to me and I’m still waiting for my transcripts to be processed. It’s definitely a long wait but from what I understand admissions is slammed right now so it’s yaking extra long for everything to go through.
@iwannabeanaggie8 wow a whole week Oh boy .-. Well I hope they get everything roling pretty smoothly soon
They received my transcripts maybe a week ago and they haven’t processed them, is that normal?
@annabananalm It takes about 2 weeks, from when admissions receive your transcript, to process them.
I’ve been seeing stuff about tabs? Like if you have 6 tabs on AIS or something is an indication you’ve been accepted? Is it on AIS or howdy? What do the tabs say?
@aggiebound1996 In previous years there are 6 tabs on Howdy that show up before an official admittance that hint towards acceptance; however, considering I do not think anyone has received a transfer audit I do not believe that it will happen as soon as we hoped. I applied on 1/1 and still not have received an audit and my transcripts were processed 3 weeks ago. I think this year admissions were slammed with an extreme amount of Freshman applicants and with Transfers adding on to that, it might be a while before we get our audits or see tabs. I believe someone said we might receive audits sometime around the end of January or beginning of February when applicants are sent to specific colleges.
@Walker03 is that when applications will be sent to specific colleges at the end of January/beginning of February? And do you think I applied too late? I applied on 1/17 and had my transcript sent in on 1/16. And I’ve been hearing it takes week to process a transcript
I also got my uin today idk if that helps
@aggiebound1996 Thats the time frame I have heard about not 100% sure. You are more than fine as long as the have received your documents before around that time I’m sure they will be processed and sent to the colleges in the first wave of applications. It usually takes about 2 weeks to process a transcript from when TAMu receives it. Keep us updated and good luck and hopefully we both become aggies!
@Walker03 hopefully so!
Will definitely keep updates going!
@Walker03 yeah I actually emailed them. When I applied last year I didn’t have this problem. I’m reapplying because I chickened out @ NSC
@annabananalm what do you mean you chickened our on nsc?
@ExcGunnar What material best helped you in preparing for Suhlings exams? I have read the book over and over and listened to the lectures and read over the power points. I would say I favored the book the most and the lectures and the power points have gotten the least of my attention. But I am worried because I just found out that her exams are open-ended/fill in the blank. This makes me think the Powerpoint will be most helpful. I emailed the Professor, a week ago, and she has not responded. Any help would be appreciated.

My transcripts are finally processed and it says my application is complete and under review!
This took exactly two weeks so don’t worry if yours have not processed yet.
