I’ve been emailing back and forth with an advisor for my intended major, and she tells me since I’ll have a course in progress my app will most likely go into deferral until I complete the course and send in my final transcript.
But then today I was talking with someone else from TAMU (it was on the online chat thing) anyway I told them I currently have an IP course and asked if I will receive a deferral until my final transcript is received. They told me they look to see if all required documents are received by the deadline and if they so then I’m considered for admission but no final transcript is needed unless I’m admitted?
That’s where I’m confused because I have two different answers .-. One person says I’ll be deferred while another says something else??
If anyone can clear this up that would be great cause now I’m freaking out.
@Aggie21@Walker03 I’m doing accounting! I hope to get into the PPA program as well. Not sure yet of which masters degree I’ll choose in that program though.
@Walker03 Definitely get your masters!! Anyway to make yourself a more competitive candidate in the job market out of school helps. Also, it’s another year at Aggieland if you do it there!
@aggiebound1996 My daughter had everything completed for requirements at application time. They still wanted her transcript at the end of Fall semester but they accepted her without it. Most of the time, that I have seen, if they defer you, that means you will most likely get in but they need an in progress class completed first. In other words, they can deny you before semester ends or defer you. If deferred, you have a great shot of admittance! And remember, the advisor knows more than admissions for their department since they make the decisions. You’ll be fine… promise.
@AggieMomhelp phew! I was freaking out for a bit but I’m glad I know now thanks!! I submitted my application yesterday now we just play the waiting game!
@texcr832 You should get it around 2-3 Days after you apply. Make sure you check your spam folder a couple of applicants from last year had the same issue where their UIN was sent to SPAM.
@AggieMomhelp , My son’s friend is applying to transfer to A&M CStat for Fall 2019 in Computer Science. He hasn’t finished his application yet, but he’s in the process. I don’t know any of his specific statistics. He’s been at TAMU-CC for two years. I know zero about the transfer process. Any suggestions or advice about applying as a transfer? Any idea how competitive Computer Science is for transfers? Thanks!
