@iwannabeanaggie8 Freshman are guaranteed housing, but I would think white creek would be available. It’s a little expensive compared to dorms. Off campus housing is plentiful with apartments EVERYWHERE. I’m looking into Parkwest, The Traditions, The London, and Treehouse. Probably some more, they tend to be cheaper than on campus and have buses that’ll take you to campus. Of course, have to wait until I get accepted hopefully.
@tamuaggie21 freshmen are not guaranteed housing but they should have priority over transfers.
@iwannabeanaggie8 white creek is kind of desireable but doesn’t fill up as quickly as modularity or hullabaloo. May I ask why you want to live on campus? I ask because there are soooo many close to campus (as in across the street) that will feel just like white creek but less money. Check out Park West. Calloway, aspire, the stacks, domain at north gate, sterling, the rise, traditions and I’m sure there are more right there. Park west is 2 years old and is actually on tamu systems land, but not considered on campus tamu housing. All of these will give you what you want probably except maybe Calloway (oldest of these). They’ll do roommate finder for you as well if you’re coming alone. You pay for your room, not the entire apartment of that makes sense. And you’ll have a lock in your room (as in key lock not just your normal button lock). Great amenities with on campus feel.
@AggieMomhelp I originally wanted to live in a single dorm because I would be moving from out of state and don’t know anyone and wanted to be able to be on campus to meet people easily, be apart of the school, etc. But I’ve kinda realized all the good dorms will probably be filled by the time I even get a decision. So when we went to tour tamu, we got a tour of white creek and I really liked it! And a white creek 4/4 is cheaper than a single dorm so my mom likes that idea more anyways haha. But I will definitely look into the apartments you talked about. As an out of state student I’d rather be on campus but I’ll look into them right now
Totally get that and it’s a good plan. If you can’t get that though, same style apartments even closer than white creek are available. Like 4x4 etc. and much cheaper. Let me know if you have any questions on them. I live here sooo know the proximity etc.
@KingofSodium oh okay that makes sense. Thanks for the input.
@emd931 absolutely!!! Hope we hear some good news next week
I finally got my transfer audit and it says only 19 transferable hours despite all of my classes transferring to A&M? I am wondering if this is a mistake or who to talk to about it if anyone else had this issue?
Thinking it may be because I still have classes in progress though but will I still be reviewed for my in progress hours>
So wondering if this happened to anyone else while applying.
My AIS now has a button that says “View Audit” under the banner “My App Is Complete And Under Review” when I click on it it just gives the instructions on how to check it in Howdy. However, when I go to Howdy → Applications → Manage Applications it says “You do not have any transfer audit reports available at this time.”
Anyone else seen this or have some insight? Hoping this just means it in the process/about to be posted.
@cmmcdowell
Yeah it just hasn’t updated yet in howdy, so it should be visible Monday, if not call admissions
@KingofSodium
MechE transfer student here!

@kingofsodium my sons transfer audit did not show the courses he is currently enrolled. Is that what you mean by in progress?
Well guys precedent (Fall 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018) would have Mays Admissions decisions coming out starting the 25th, for those that applied early. Just one week away!!!
@wonderlust1 Fingers crossed! This is going to be the longest week yet! Good luck to everyone! I believe every Mays app in this forum has a great chance!
@Walker03 Ohhhhh yes the longest week indeed. Stay busy and keep your mind off of it! I recommend everyone start checking Howdy for the 6 tabs starting Friday night after 10 when the system updates and so forth.
I’m crossing my fingers for both admission and for a quick response since they had to rerun my audit. Hopefully that doesn’t push my decision back at all. I applied early for a reason lol.
Good luck yall fingers crossed. Hopefully we all get in!
Hi everyone, I am applying to transfer into Communications in the fall, ill be a sophomore, and I have currently 25 hours (including dual credit and an AP class, 38 after this spring semester) and a 3.5 GPA. I did two essays but for some reason just cant get comfortable with my standing. I wanted to know what y’all thought my chances are! thanks
Also if ive got 22 hours but passed an AP exam, I get three more hours making for 25 hours of gradable coursework correct?
From my understanding, @astros41 I thought it had to be 24 gradeable hours for transfer. But if you have 22 and will have more after this semester, they may just defer you until spring grades since you are so close. Have you asked admissions?
@astros41 I just called the admissions office and they said if you do not have the 24 graded hours then depending on what department you applied to they may defer your decision until spring grades come out. She said she did not know which departments specifically do this, but I’m assuming the most competitive colleges would not.
