I was wondering if D’s don’t transfer why are they counted in your gpa?
Every college credit you take is factored into GPA for admission purposes. They count, but you have to retake it. Think of it this way, if someone had all As and Bs and someone else had all As and Bs plus 4 Ds… how would that be fair if all else is equal?
@aggiebound1996 A&M considers all courses in admission to calculate your transfer GPA. Their policies are listed on the transfer page as well as the “Transfer Friendly” PDF they have available. Saw this info earlier in my research; I hope this helps.
My major was changed to my 2nd choice. I know this is a bad sign

What’s your second choice?
University studies -geosciences . I did my research and I know this major is allows second choice and I have 3/4 of the recommended classes. I’m taking the 4th recommended this semester . Is there a chance they will defer me for spring grades for this major? At this point I’ll take what I can get. @AggieMomhelp

@gigem21tamu Since those are recommended and not required, I would say they will not defer you for that! Yay… You’ve got this. Ansi is a really tough major to get into. Very competitive. Most have 3.4 or higher…
How competitive is the college of sciences? Because I finally got my audit and my gpa is a 3.71 including dual credit from high school however I got a 4.0 for my first semester of college and I already know they will defer me for spring grades because of a required course in progress. Specifically I’m applying as a chem major btw.

@Curryinvasion2 then yes, they will probably defer you til spring grades with 2 classes in progress. But you have a really good chance with your GPA… so hang in there.

@alirhasan96 nothing just yet, tabs for Mays students usually shows up later than other colleges. Usually the day they show up the next day you receive an admit letter! So fingers crossed it is soon!
Anyone heard from the school of education? I have a 3.1 gpa and just need a 2.5 for my major. Also, I completed all of my necessary course work too. I am just so nervous now that people are getting tabs. Good luck to all of you! Gig’em!!
