TAMU Transfer Fall 2019

@pluto22 Keep in mind the 2.5 is the basic requirement to apply…not the required gpa to get accepted. With that being said, you have a great chance with a 3.1!

@pluto22 I’m here waiting for the college of education too! I applied on 1/1, hopefully we get the tabs soon.

Does anyone know when engineering applicants will hear back? And congratulations on everyone who has been admitted so far!

Any college of engineering updates? Comp sci Transfer here with a 3.72 on 25 completed hours.

@AggieMomhelp Awesome!! Thank you so much!! @tamuaggie21 Awesome, I did too! PM me when you hear back and I’ll do the same!! Good luck to you

Major switched to second major. The current school I am at does not offer all of the required classes for allied health and based off that I did not get accepted to The College of Education and Health but am still hopeful for my second major. Basically what I’ve figured out is if you don’t have all the required classes it doesn’t matter what GPA you have.

Yikes, sorry @MEGATRON01 Do you have the required courses for Nutrition covered? Is that what you chose for 2nd choice? See the below link… it says it doesn’t accept 2nd choice majors.

What do the Six tabs say? Just wondering

@jameswhite17 I believe that six tabs either means you have been admitted/deferred for spring grades.

Anyone hear back from college of education? (Technology Management specifically)

How long does it usually take from the time you get tabs to when your AIS updates? I’ve been checking like a crazy person!!!

Tabs mean accepted not deferred. And AIS typically updates within a day or two. We’ve seen longer for freshman admits. Doesn’t hurt to keep checking, lol. Gives you something to do!

My daughter has transfer audit: 36 hours, 4.0 GPA for Communications, Phi Theta Kappa, no tabs. Has taken English 1301 but in progress on the required English 1302 (could not enroll till 1301 was complete). Will they tell you your application has been deferred for spring grades or will you just have to wait until you submit spring transcripts?

Howdy guys!
I applied on the 7th of January and my audit got uploaded the 6th of February.
I’m applying for GIST in the college of geosciences and I have a 4.0, and have done the suggested coursework and 26 hours.
Should I be okay even with just 26 hours?
Has anyone heard back from them yet? Or is everyone still waiting?

@kcsprop1 They should inform you that your application is deferred for spring grades

@bj92912 yes. You should be fine with a 4.0 and 26 credits.

If you are deferred does that mean if you finish the semester successfully you will be admitted? Or does it mean they won’t review until then? Thanks for any help.

@AggieMomhelp I just wanted to tell you that you’re amazing and so helpful! Thank you for all you do, us Aggie hopefuls truly appreciate you!

@iwannabeanaggie8 Well aren’t you sweet. Thank you for your kind words. I’ve been through it all with my 2 kids andI know how hard it is to get answers.

@hopefuled2019 Typically if deferred and you finish successfully, they admit you. Before deferring, they’ve looked at your application and feel that you could be a strong candidate. Otherwise, they will flat out deny you.

Are the other Education majors still waiting on admissions?
