The Amazing Race!

I saw Cord, one of the cowboys, compete in the bull riding competition at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. It was so cool to see that they actually are “cowboys” and not just some fake title they ascribed to them for TV.

He was the only one of the group that I saw that night to go onto the next round - he was the only one who lasted the 8 seconds - BRUTAL sport!!

So glad Mallory and her dad were saved! Funny how a non-elimination leg popped up just as we were wondering where they were… ; -)

Oh, I was very happy with that, too, jambaby! I love Gary and Mallory. Loved that they were in Salzburg, such a beautiful city.

That’s it…no more non-elimination legs…it’s the real deal fom here on in! Go cowboys!

I like Gary & Mallory so much more this season than when they were on originally, but the cowboys are still my favorite.

I like the cowboys as well but I also like the globetrotters. I’d just as soon the goths get eliminated next (I like her but not him).

Gary and Mallory and the Cowboys are my faves too. I was also kind of hoping the Goths would get the boot - way too much whining and complaining coming from the guy (Kent?)! The city does look beautiful. I couldn’t believe how many people tried to eat that food in 12 minutes - yuck! It probably would have been fine without the time constraint, but where’s the fun in that? Ha.

The Goths drive me nuts. I hope they go soon.

This is one of my favorite shows. I don’t have a favorite team at this point, although very fond of the cowboys. I also like the sisters, but I don’t think they are the strongest competitors in this race. I find the goths interesting as I enjoy seeing what they will be wearing. He, of course, is cranky and annoying, but I like her, and I think without the makeup, she is probably attractive. And I like Mallory’s dad and I’m starting to like her as well. At first, I found her too perky. Looking forward to next Sunday’s episode.

Argh. Why didn’t Jet start recounting from Gary’s number???

Waaaaaahhhhh!!

I am SO sad the Cowboys are gone!! Ughhhhhh. I thought it was really bad that all the other teams started ganging up on them. C’mon, people!

I think karma will bite the Globetrotters’ in the you-know-what… They are at the bottom of my list now.

Really, really, really hoping Gary and Mallory or Zev and Justin win the whole thing. I am not crazy about the other three teams at all!

I agree! Go Mallory and Gary! I’ve grown to like Zev and Justin.

I use to like the goths, but now…I want anyone but them to win. Sad nights to see the cowboys ride off into the suset, but at least they were classy about it.

Never do the food challenge!

I don’t think you can blame the Globetrotters much for using the U-turn. They knew that the Cowboys were close, that everyone else was ahead of them, and with their own troubles with directions, it was the smart move to U-turn them.

I liked the Cowboys but there are things I enjoy about all of the remaining teams. I’m still rooting for Gary and Mallory to win. I think they’re a great team and, although Mallory used to drive me crazy initially on their first time on the Race, I now think she’s about the sweetest thing ever to be on the show. :)

One thing I’ve noticed this season is that there seems to be more cooperation, helping, and sharing of information with this group than ever before, or at least, that I can remember.

Maybe having been on the race before teaches teams the value of cooperation and sharing info.

The only person remaining on the race I don’t like is Kent. His whining is annoying.

Well, I am bummed! I never saw the Cowboys being eliminated this far from the finish.

Now I don’t know who to root for. Probably Zev & Justin. They always seemed like the underdogs to me. I didn’t realize they’d won 4 legs. That’s really good.

I commented last night that this season seems to be a lot less back biting altogether.

It’s gonna be a fun conclusion!

I don’t blame the Globetrotters either. They were next to last, they appeared to have gotten lost a couple times on the way to the U-turn, as much as I hated to see the Cowboys go, I probably would have done the same thing. I initially didn’t like the Goths at all, but now, although I am not rooting for them, I find them kind of funny.

I agree I could never do a food challenge, but it did work out for Zev and Justin.

Hated, hated, hated the sharing of answers with “friends” on the bike challenge. It may not be a technical TAR rule violation, but I think it’s cheating by any measure. The task was to bike and determine the distance traveled. Those that didn’t navigate well were to suffer the consequences of repeating the ride until they got it right, not be told the answer by another player. I fully expected Phil to penalize the cheaters at the mat. Jet and Cord must have been flabbergasted to watch last night and see that their loss wasn’t their own fault. If I wanted to watch Survivor, where alliances rule the game, I’d do so. I think the producers need to re-think the rules. Contestants should not be permitted to even speak to one another in the middle of a task. I love this show and haven’t missed an episode in years, but last night left a terrible taste in my mouth.
