The Indian Thread #21

Apparently, this has been on for a lot of months. :p

Hi people, fellow '17 aspirant from India! Nice to meet :)

Mrinal - I am not sure people can get greencards in months through their company. As I mentioned, I have colleagues who have been doing paper work for over 7 years and been in the country for 10 or more years.

It takes years to go through the process and very few companies do that for employees who are not already in US. Are you sure it is a greencard vs a work visa?

@ Mrinal I agree with texaspg and Nocensure.

I got my greencard done through my father who is a us citizen, living in CA. As texaspg said it did take around 2 years for the whole process, and it was solely because my father was ALREADY a citizen.
If you want to know specifics PM me and Id be happy to answer :)

Adding another thought here - GC holders will have access to student loans which is why someone can become need blind - the students can ask for loans in US. America currently has a huge student loan debt crisis with about a trillion dollars outstanding.

Is there anyone who is giving sat in october?

@woody - yep, most probably!

I am writing the SAT in October

Nope, not giving :p

^ He’s not giving it because he’s taking it :p

 Aww, me trolled. I am not taking any tests now, beat that Tiz :p

lol.
Me taking subject tests this October.

I might give the test around October period. The main test and the subject tests as well.

im givin in october too!!!

The giving and taking thing has reminded me of my English teacher who always laughed out loud about direct translation from vernacular.

sorry about the error!

one of my friend scored 2080 . it was his second try. is it a good score?
