I was going to respond but ehh I’m just going to ignore the criticizers… I think Legend of Korra is a great show. Although I admit I’m biased because I was a fan of the original series, Avatar the Last Airbender.

Off the top of my head I believe it’s Season 3 Episode 8.

Yep, “The Puppetmaster”

Katara also uses bloodbending in “The Southern Raiders”

OMG I did not know CCers were LOK fans! I’m actually on avatarspirit.net which is a total ATLA fansite.

Umm, anyways, yeah- I wasn’t in love with the finale. It was rushed, there was a deus ex machina at the end, Makorra was totally forced and awkward and AGAIN, Bolin got shafted. -_- Also, the primary conflict between nonbenders and benders was reduced to: hooray, we got rid of Amon/Noatak, it’s all over, when there are indeed valid issues that need to be dealt with.

Still, the Noatak/Tarrlok story really was moving and I found the confrontation between Asami and Hiroshi to be one of the most moving scenes of the show. The animation there was amazing and it just made me love Asami even more than before.

However, I definitely would say I preferred Avatar: The Last Airbender. The characters were more likable (Mako is seriously a total jerk at times) and the world building was done very well. Also, BTW, for any of you who care about finding out about Azula/Zuko’s mom, they’re releasing a comic book miniseries to get to the bottom of it! :D

I hope it comes out soon :D

^ i liked the criticism thread(s) on avatar spirit :p.

This show isn’t very good. If you look beyond the action sequences that becomes obvious.

But you can’t do that.

We might as well say TLA sucks because of “The Great Divide”

URSA WHERE ARE YOU.

THEY’RE FINDING HER IN THE NEXT SET OF COMICS CALLED “THE SEARCH”

Personally though, I care more about Azula than Ursa but whatever.

Freak Azula! Ursa is the main thing I’m worried about!

I can’t believe the producers didn’t reveal what happened to Zuko’s mom in the first place.

Just re watched the blood bending episodes. Makes TLOK a lot more understandable. But after watching them, it made me realize my disdain for Toff. I don’t think I ever liked her because she acted too childish for me. I really want to watch them all over again. I miss ATLA alot :’(

^Yeah, Toph can get a bit childish sometimes. But, I honestly love her because she is just so funny at times. Like when they were in the cave, and Sokka was like, “I can’t see a thing!” and Toph goes, “OH NO! What a nightmare!”. She is so funny at times. :D

^ I loved that scene and when there in the desert and toph says, “there it is” and everyone stares in her direction. I was in pain because of the laughter.

^ omg yess toph is hilarious about her blindness

I like toph because she was super blunt. Yes, childish. But really funny.

Mind you, she’s 12! I think she’s allowed to be a little childish. Also, she has this whole - I have to be tough 24/7 to make up for the fact I’m blind thing going.

@Zombiedante, I dunno, the actual mystery doesn’t really bother me. Azula’s character is really fascinating from a psychological perspective to me.

I loved the ending episodes of ATLA. The whole conflict with Azula had me on the edge of my seat. The fight with her & Katara and then the fight with her and Zuko & the moment when she saw her mother. Oh my gosh. At the start of the show she was powerful, quick, and conniving but by the end she was ruled by emotion and blinded by whatever feelings of hate or jealousy she had against Zuko. She just couldn’t seem to concentrate like she used to. I almost felt bad for her though. I think I remember her crying and looking really disheveled. I don’t know how or when she started that downward trend.

Azula basically went mad after her friends betrayed her.

Yeah, but she’s a fascinating character. I’ve read so much good fanfiction/essays on just her. The rest of the characters, IMO, with the exception of Zuko are relatively straightforward. I love Aang though <3.

OH. MY. GOSH.

I JUST FINISHED LEGEND OF KORRA.

At first, I had a bit of heartbreak over the old episodes ending, and Aang dead and all. And Zuko dead. And Toph. And Sokka :,(. But this, this Legend of Korra. I have no words. When she gained her avatar powers and when Aang showed up and the suicide on the boat(a bit dark for Nickelodeon, but since it was so perfectly executed, whatever), and Chief Bai Fong took down the airship-

I love this series. I need more.

/endfangirlrant

I don’t understand the suicide thing on the boat though. Why did Tarlak do that?
