<p>Why women aren’t allowed to marry Non-Muslims is pretty clear. Because their children won’t be Muslims since the model in the household is the dad. Anyway just say the kalma before eating the meat there and it should be fine. Unfortunately most the the higher sources of knowledge here aren’t very knowledgeable, no offense meant but our mullahs are basically only matric pass.</p>

<p>well, just to let you know about the halal food issue, my family always buys halal meat. there are so many halal restaurants and meat stores that it is really not a problem. especially in big cities like chicago or new york. you just have to find them. i have lived in the u.s. for my entire life and we have never eaten anything but halal meat. we have never eaten kosher meat either. most muslims in the u.s. do eat halal food, not kosher. don’t worry though, it should not be a problem. :)</p>

<p>Hey volume12. Welcome to CC! Yes, Aga Khan University is an excellent medical school but it is also very competitive to get in. Being a foreign national will help though.
Asad, I don’t think you should eat their meat because of the whole marriage implication. I mean they don’t properly slaughter the animal with the kalma and all that. Personally I would say if you can’t find halal eat kosher its also halal. Otherwise fish is also a very good option, its brain food. Will help you get into the ivies :p</p>
