^^ Congrats! I never knew Pakistanis could accomplish so much!

This list is understated. Many big boys are missing. Don’t count the chickens just yet ;)

Its great(:

Are there anymore decisions pending?

well i think only wait list results must be pending.

for those of you who had their SSE interview…how was it???

Funny links … :D

Got them from a friend, been spreading 'em around since.

^^ loved the article.
Warning: Be sure to open it when no one’s around. The pictures get, umm how to say, a little too suggestive. Great list nonetheless.

Oh, and now let’s start posting where we will be attending college this fall. As for me, i’ve made my decision. Lafayette.

Let me introduce you guys (and girls) to the Qatar Foundation, which has built the magnificent Eudcation City. It boasts some of the very best American centers of learning, namely:

Carnegie Mellon for Business Administration, Computer Science and Information Systems

Northwestern for Jorunalism and Communication

Georgetown for Foreign Service and Liberal arts education

Weil Cornell Medical Center for an MD degree from Cornell University

Texas A&M for engineering

Virginia Commonwealth University for Graphic, Interior and Fashion design

All of these universiities are masters of their field and offer substantial scholarships and financial aid. The Weil Cornell Medical Center and Georgetown university are entiely need-blind. It just goes to show that flibb (:D) made a great decision to apply to Texas A&M because of the remarkable advantages of these places, given below:

*Less competition
*Small class sizes
*Great financial aid
*Last two years can be spent in USA
*Tranfer to USA possible
*Degree Made in USA

P.s. Deadline for admission was 1st March.

@khan91: Good to hear. But why? HKUST, IMO, should be given serious consideration.

@theGame, believe me this is the hardest choice i’ve had to make. At the end, it all came down to experience. Because i’ve been here in Beijing for almost 3 years now, and the fact that i’ve been to Hong kong thrice i just thought i’d be getting more of the same. US, on the other hand, is almost an unknown quantity for me. Plus i’m planning to do Masters as well, meaning that going to Lafayette will enhance my chances of getting to a good school for Masters.

That was my reasoning. What do you think?. There might still be a chance i can reverse my decision. So if there’s anything that you think i should consider or keep in mind, now’s the time man. Please.

@ Khan91. I support your decision! In the long-run, Lafa will definitely pay off more than HKUST would.

I want it to be BYU, but it can also be NUST Business School! HAHAHA. :D

@khan91: The financial crisis - maybe. If it doesn’t wear off, international students will have

1, Zilch chance of getting good finaid from unis for their Master’s and lesser grant money for their undergrad studies; and
2. Nil chance of finding a good job

But your reasoning appears to be solid. There will always be unexpected events, so you can’t prepare for them - and don’t even try to. LafaRafa hurray!!

@talha_adnan: How was the US Visas Conference? Please share whatever you gained.

thanks for the support guys, you’re the best!

Yea, i’d like to know the visa tidbits too, talha.

Just posting

@Khan91
I support your decision dude…

@ Talha
ya yaar…come on. we are waiting, Share everything!
