Brothers and sisters, salam to you all.

Has there been any slowing of study visas for Pakistani folk post the idiot in NY, Shahzad?

I was talking to someone who works in the U.S. Embassy and according to him, the Shahzad case has implications on correcting security situation within Pakistan. Even President Obama’s emphasis has been on Pakistan to speed up the war against terrorism. As for F-1 Visa, they’re issuing 'em just like before.

It’s obvious he was planted there so that pressure can be increased on Pakistan. Oh well, may Allah help us!

What a match between Pakistan and Australia!

This thread is dead!
That rhymes!
Not the point!
This thread is dead!

It’s not quite dead, yet.

I need help regarding student visa for US. My name appears as incomplete on my A-Levels Statement of Entry. Only my First and Middle names appear. My Surname is not printed even though on all my previous CIE results and entries, my full name was included. I submitted a request to british Council today. Will this affect my student visa in any way? Secondly, I am on Uni of Michigan’s waitlist. The decision would be announced by late June. If i get in, I won’t be going to Bryn Mawr. So that means that i can’t apply for visa until my Umich decision arrives?
Thanks a lot.

luckily if i am not wrong juggernaut u play DOTA ?? :P

@Maheen: I really wish I could help you, but I suppose you should google for forums where people discuss US visas for Pakistanis. I’ve seen some for Canada and they are really helpful!
It’s another thing my Canada visa got rejected yesterday…

Oh. Sorry to hear abt ur visa rejection. Could you please share the reason y u were refused (if you don;t mind)?

:)
The most absurd reason ever.
We are not satisfied you’ll leave Canada after completing your studies.
WTH?! Ek jaga they offer immigration, and the other place they want us to leave Canada after doing the degree! Such contradiction! And they didn’t even call me for an interview :@
