Thoughts on Elon Musk buying a stake in Twitter?

I saw a Cybertruck today on my way to the gym. It had a nice tinge or hint of orange to it.

That’s one way to describe living in Florida.

It must be there next to the self-destruct mode.

Shouldn’t that be a default setting? Literally every other car does that except the Cybertruck :joy:

More to the point of actual Twitter / X:

He spends a lot of time with his son. Taking him to many special events with him. Of course some would try to make him into a bad person for doing these things. Perhaps if more fathers were present and active in their children’s lives we’d be in a better place as as society. I applaud Musk for spending the time with his child. I certainly love being around my own children.

Musk is dragging his toddler around so he can credibly (not) claim that it’s his toddler posting on X and not Musk roleplaying as a child. (/sarcasm)

“The Wayback Machine reveals several strange, deleted tweets Musk shared from this account such as “I will finally turn 3 on May 4th!” which is the actual birthdate and age of his son X AE A-XII. Other deleted tweets are “For the love of God, can someone follow me,” as well as, “Do you like Japanese girls?” and lastly, “I wish I was old enough to go to nightclubs. They sound so fun.”

In addition, per the article, he is in the midst of a custody fight with the little guy’s mom.

“Update* Tesla went above and beyond to fix my truck today and get it back to me this afternoon. Very happy. The Tesla Pensacola service center stepped up and did an awesome job. They even detailed the truck before I picked it up. It was all covered by warranty. I’m very pleased.”

That’s wonderful that they fixed the coolant leak under warranty after 35 miles on a new car.

And it only took complaining on X to get it done.

I think the wire fraud investigation is the most notable development. That’s what the feds convicted Elizabeth Holmes of:

More concerning to Tesla (potential) customers, employees, and suppliers is that Musk’s slash-and-burn layoff procedures call into question whether one wants to commit to a larger and/or longer term financial relationship (buying a vehicle when there are questions about future Supercharger maintenance or service center ability to handle the volume of warranty work, working there when layoffs may occur particularly capriciously, signing a contract to produce parts or build Supercharger stations when your contacts may disappear without notice or replacement) with Tesla.

Drove by the Tesla factory near Austin on Thursday and they are adding onto that already huge facility.

Musk:

“𝕏 HQ will move to Austin. Have had enough of dodging gangs of violent drug addicts just to get in and out of the building.”

Actually he said he is moving them because of the new law Newsom signed today.

Either way, he is BSing big time. Neither aggressive bums nor the new law is the real reason. Details belong in the political forum.
